Why it is not possible to see in battle wich skill cores your opponent has?The bar that shows passive effects is a mess, it shows that you are malfed or intimidated, when you can easely see that in two ways already, but it doesn t show if your opponent has frost shards or metheors. It s pointless for anyone to see your opponents skills, I think its important to have that bar fixed.

Mother1 -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/30/2013 22:01:19)

Simple when they made it like that they made it so you could see status effects and other things that affect your character. In other words whenever you are hit by a debuff, buff or have something that works passively it is shown.

However they never made so you could see non passive cores that don't effect your character or the opponents.

kosmo -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/30/2013 23:01:45)

You can see skills, passive skills and cores, I dont get why you can t see skill cores at the start, this only promotes the cheap thniking.
I have to remember who has shards and who has metheors expecially if they are tm and str builds in general, this actually affect the battles.

Mother1 -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/31/2013 0:33:49)

In all honestly I don't even think the staff intended for even passive cores to be originally shown. However since they as stated before have status effect for you character they became shown. However active cores that aren't used yet don't have stats effects on you are your opponent so those remain hidden until used (unless it is a weapon that has a known active core such as jack o fire, or thorn assault.)

Showing active cores will not only take away the last bit of surprise left in the game but make it even more easy to copy build. (which is a bigger problem)

kosmo -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/31/2013 9:32:42)

do u know why ppl copy strenght builds? because they are nubs, they look at the leaderboards and they see all of these 70% win ratios and they think that u cant do better than that so they copy the fast build insteed of the good ratio build.
right now as a focus bm this game has become so easy u cant even imagin.

whatever passives cores are now shown because player asked for it, and as a player im asking for actives cores to be shown too, in my opinion this is really important for strategy and it will be even more important in the future when new cores are gonna be relised.

Lycan. -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/31/2013 9:53:36)

Personally i think it's better to have a strategic gameplay than have a core surprise and skill cores do cost a big price so it would be hard for noobs to copy others exact cores. :)

kosmo -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/31/2013 10:12:34)

thats a nice idea, for example i was thinking that insteed of bloking cores on a wep like they did a few weeks ago they just could make a core inventory whit active cores costing 25-30k but being switchable; right now if we wont to change a core we cant, and we need to spend almost 50k to upgrade a new wep, to be able to put new cores on it.

Liz Vicious -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/31/2013 10:41:48)

If you take this to it's ultimate conclusion and, this is what i believe. The whole bar should be removed. Why should your opponent be aware of your passive skills anyway? And vice versa? They are by definition passive so not obvious or visible. Lets just get it back to unknowns. It was more fun. Where you couldn't second guess or predict and outcome/strategy unless you looked your opponent up. And that's a choice. When i first saw this bar i thought that, your immediately giving away a good portion of your strengths/weaknesses before you do anything. Bad implementation in my view.

Bloodpact -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/31/2013 12:23:49)

Be great if more was hidden.

ED Divine Darkness -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (8/31/2013 16:45:40)

would DESTROY strategy. cos then they would know if you had a specific core, and that would change what skills they use. say if you waste 19 hp points of a generator, just for 5 energy then they take ur energy with the gun active. they would know not to do that if they had that core. would destroy strategy.

kosmo -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (9/8/2013 9:58:22)

^Knowing what s the best choice from the start destroy strategy?Atm the only ones that benefit from this are those players that keep attention and play evryday, once I discover your one-way strategy, it will be easy to counter it and you re afraid that evryone could do so.Showing the active core on wep would destroy the cheap thinking and it would bring back some sort of competition, instead of a branch of win n loose zombies.

Mother1 -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (9/8/2013 11:29:41)

@ Kosmo

There are some who like the element of surprise outside of luck factors. If they show actives as well you are taking away that element. You aren't suppose to know everything about your opponent in a battle anyways.

Midnightsoul -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (9/8/2013 13:06:07)

To add to what Mother1 said, there are A LOT of games that do not show your opponent's skill. Actually, almost all of them. You're only hope is to know how to fight off these effects while in the situation, or also known as improvising.

kosmo -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (9/8/2013 13:21:18)

^ who cares whats going on in other games.
and whatever there is no "improvising" when u know how to play....

Mother1 -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (9/8/2013 14:26:08)

@ Midnightsoul

Since Epic duel IMO spoon feeds it's users by giving away part of what we can do Kosmo feels why not just give everyone everything we can do

@ Kosmo

We do have improvising this happens when we are COUNTERED! Which is what will be happening a lot if all cores are shown. It will make the game more dull sense surprise will only come in the form of luck and it will script fights moves even more because of this.

While some may want that others as you can see in this thread don't.

CN2025 -> RE: Skill cores that are not shown (9/9/2013 17:31:59)

i like to guess what cores other people have

and im usually not wrong if they show the skill cores it can dull my tactics
