@Darkstardust: I actually started the design with the words "magical mayan mecha" in mind but after finishing and deciding on quotes, I noted the similarity so I totally felt like quoting archons. XD

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/15/2013 23:14:18)

@Char
Thx for the info. But I somehow suspected its the same method that caused the glitch to occur. Its always when I used 2 hit combo whenever the monster' shield is on that cause the freezing glitch to occur. Its my speculation though but it may be true. I guess I should report this at the monster battle bug thread.

DeathGuard -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/15/2013 23:42:04)

Is Abyssal Priest worth it? I'm curious.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 0:07:23)

He is worth it since he got 2 Lightning Chain alongside Energize. Hex Void is also really good for he got surge and SuperCharged which can deal more than 2000+ damage in one round.

BJEBLE -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 0:51:34)

@MDK Hex also has 2 Electric Arcs, which is 400 damage for 6 turns, which is really good against shieldy characters.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 1:07:49)

@BJEBLE
Yes, it would be really more better if Hex Void had Storm. Hex Void would be the most dangerous energy character. New Energy characters especially Hex Void have been used often by many players because of Electric Arcs, Lightning chain and supercharged which are very great cards. Energy is now another strong elements. Earth have also became even stronger than before because of Earthquake, tree of life and nature's gift. With the CC, every element are considered strong with their own skills. Chaos is the only element we have yet to know its ability though we implied it to have every element's ability since Chaos' main ability is random.

DeathGuard -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 1:20:26)

@Mega and Bjeble: thank you guys. Reading that discussion really made me think of getting it.

I'm actually more anxious about Earth CC. Just missing 4 cards now from it. just 1 5 rank star and 2 1 star and 1 2 star card. xD

necro rouge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 4:11:33)

@death
Abyssal priest is strong, and is in my opinion completely worth getting. However, Hex, Volt engineer and abyssal are pretty much the same character, especially with CC so you might as well just get the one you think is coolest.

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 4:41:05)

@death Abyssal Priest has 2 chain lightnings, which is basically a powerflow with an energy hungry deck. One would be the max for me, because it only has one energize for all your needs; lightning revolves around maximizing the amount of attack cards you use in your hand in conjunction with things like charged and super charged now, after CC. The chain lightning pretty much takes up card space. The amount of attack cards it has is perfect, though. And so, I would say that volty and hex are better choices.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 4:47:15)

In terms of pure offense, Abyssal Priest is the suitable choice with 2 Lightning Chain and Energize. He will be easy to use with great offense but lack of defence.

In terms of design, Hex Void is the choice. It have great deck with Surge and Supercharged dealing extra damage. He also have 2 Electric Arcs which will help to deal 2400 damage in total on 6 turns. A character worthy for 5 SG.

In terms of price, Volt Engineer is the choice since he is free and very strong for a free character.

This should help give some easy guide. They are all offensive character they lack defence so CC will be needed to increase their defence.

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 6:20:08)

Excuse me, but after you have used a chain lightning, and then energized, and then drew another chain lightning, would you use it and bet on getting another energize? Remember, cycling cards does affect the probability to some degree; abyssal only has one energize, like all the new ones. This is because of the card supercharged. Like I said, lightning is based off of using up your entire hand and hoping for attack cards that go along with that particular super-charged. Chain lightning just seems like a waste of energy, what with the high energy requirement and a lesser amount of energizes.

Edit: Oh, and megaknight? I don't think that any of the three new energy chars introduced with the CC are defensive in any way shape or form. The one shield on each of them and supercharged's attack card number requirement would hint to that.

BJEBLE -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 10:44:27)

@Kiazz he wasn't saying they were defensive, he was saying they were offensive for the same reasons you stated.
@MDK Volt Engineer also has 2 tasers, so you can get some serious piercing damage with super charged there.

DeathGuard -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 14:07:38)

For Energy CC, I got 1 Chain Lightning and 3 Electric Arcs. I could actually used those isntead of buying Abbyss Priest xD

Beck -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 15:05:17)

@Deathguard
That's actually what I'd have recommended: buy the Lightning CC packs and search for Chain Lightning, Super Charged, and Storm, instead of spending SG's on the Priest or Hex Fiend. If you had those cards, you could make excellent lightning characters out of Max Storm, Bill the Hunter, Lightning Wolf, or Volt Engineer (though honestly that guy doesn't need the extra help xD)

So just curious: What's everyone's best Lightning, Fire, and Earth characters right now? And by best, I mean forum-tournament ready~

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 15:43:50)

Volt Engineer is the best energy character

Id say Evil Jim is fires top player

and i really want to say IMO Ogre Trapper its the best earth character

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 15:49:24)

F-Fire? Did someone say Fire! Call the fire crew because my Evil Jim is getting really evil**!

As for Earth and Lightning I'd have to say Taurus and Volt Engineer as those are the only good ones I've got. xD Lei Blades is nice, but for a proper tournament, I can't really rely on it's randomness.

**: However will be destroyed by Round #2.

Vagaran -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 15:59:56)

@Beck
I would say HHM for fire, Volt Engineer for energy (that is once I stop being lazy and start leveling him up) and Taurus for earth.

clintonian -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 16:16:37)

Pyre witch for fire, earth wizard or ogre trapper for earth and volt engineer for energy

DeathGuard -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 16:28:32)

Pyre Witch and Overfiend Blade for Fire Characters
Lightning I had go for Bill the Assassin and Storm Knight.
Earth characters? Please, it is obvious I love Stone Assassin *ehem* I prefer Stone Asassin. Yeah, that works lol
Also Earth Wizard is 2nd and last resource.
Stone Assassin with Earth CC is a beast. Killed Infernal Fiend with almost full hp and possess it in less than 11 rounds(including 5 turns for charging)

necro rouge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 17:09:37)

I have two tauri and a secret ready for earth, Storm knight, wolf, abyssal priest, volt engineer and hex void ady for enrgy and love weaver for fire. Come at me.

ND Mallet -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 17:16:16)

EF is best Earth character...once I get some CC on her at least

the warden -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 18:12:48)

earth i have tarus
energy, level 20 hex
fire, loveweaver, HHM

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 19:45:48)

@bjeble Then why mention it at all, and why on only in one of the categories?
While piercing ability with taser is pretty good, you can pretty much use 2 and a 200 attack with super charged. Hex, on the other hand, has a lot of 200 attacks and a low cost high return DoT. But, without CC, Engi is still best.

Fire: Pyre Witch
Earth: Earth Fairy
Lightning: Hex

BJEBLE -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 21:59:30)

Fire: L-13 Evil Jim
Earth: L-19 Minotaur, might be Taurus however so that will set back the levels a bit.
Lightning: L-13 Volt Engineer.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 131 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/16/2013 23:18:12)

@Kiazz
For Abyssal Priest case, if you have energize alongside 2 lightning chain, use LC follow by Energize then another LC which deal 3000 damage in total. Like what BJEBLE said. I stated that the new energy characters introduced alongside Energy CC are pure offensive. They lack of defence since they only have 1 shield card in their default deck so energy shield CC will be use to cover up their defence.

@BJEBLE
Yeah though it will require 18 cost to deal pierce 2000 damage but it will be very helpful against Ice and Neutral characters.

Fire: Currently HHM but Evil Jim will be my top fire character once I got him.
Earth: Taurus and Earth Elemental are both tied until a Legendary Earth character with a deck that is better than Earth Elemental.
Lightning: Volt Engineer, Hex Void and Abyssal Priest are arguably one of the strongest Energy character.
