Is the conception of "EpicDuel" really "Epic" anymore? Or is it that they've become far too fetched with the economy breakdown and are scraping by? Well, my input is that I think this game has potential. No I don't play it anymore because of the slack of deadlines and re-informative precise skills put in place. However, I do believe that this game could become again one of the big three**. I used to play 'EpicDuel' because of the fun initiative ideas they explored and distinguished. I used to play because it was fun. It was interactive and friendly, however nowadays you find 'hackers' or 'scammers' lying around the next corner. So, why do you play EpicDuel? Have you always liked it from the start? Is it the games available? What's your input?

i have always liked it from the start and have stayed through the good and bad times i always hope it will get better

It has a lot of potential. Used to be a lot more fun... Kind of reminds me of Star Wars in a sense... Although the story is very different... But being rebels fighting an inner-planetary war is fun. I hope this game gets better, so I stick with it. Balance is the main issue right now. I also want more storyline updates.

@comicalbike, ^ Pretty much. @OP, Honestly? Epic Duel was never any more "epic" to begin with, if anything it has improved feature-wise by introducing new game mechanics like cores and robots later on. I enjoyed the game quite a bit back in early Beta, and I still very much do. I don't notice much of this "change" everyone's complaining about on the forums, although I can admit the balance is bad and I've had to change my build quite a few times due to balance changes. Which is annoying... However I am positive that this game will be back on track with cool features in hopefully not too long! I think people overthink when it comes to the gameplay and mechanics in this game as it is a very casual and simplistic game in the first place. It's a strategy game, and that's really all it takes for me to love it [;)]

Started to dislike EpicDuel since Omega came out... Only reason I still play is due to the amount of money I've pumped into the game, pretty much the only reason now. Despite Omega being the ' Fase ' with the most customizable Classes, Delta had more oomph than Omega. It wasn't perfect but it was better.

I've played it since a longgg time ago before AE got it etc etc... and it was fun.. but now? I force myself to log in with the vague hopes of something changing for the better... week after week I'm wrong and they refuse to change anything balance wise because of the 'war' which imo isn't even a real war more like a battle counter than anything. And due to balance being in the crapper It's at the state it's more of a chore playing the game then actually doing something productive in real life. Every fight is the same garbage with luck completely decimating people the same builds are 'everywhere' because people obviously don't know what the value of imagination and originality is and in general when someone starts losing they just get flat out rude and all these factors have forced ED into a game that while it was originally fun it's been corrupted into a spot where it's just not fun anymore. Occasionally I'll have a fight or two that are fun ( either with people who aren't total jerks ) etc etc but for the past 2-3 months I could barely log in and manage 4-5 fights before saying screw it and logging off again. All in all I want to play the game but with the direction the games going it's like the games actively trying to stop people from having fun/ playing it :l

@ ReinVI Even in Delta, I on occasion made some random build, tried it and it had somewhat of a chance of being a good build... Now if you try that, Failing is a sure thing. You know what has to change? The Offense - Defense mechanism... Having High Defenses mean nothing these days if you have a decent STR stat ( even 45 does around 20 against tanks... ) I miss those times

i play because i still think that strategy is all that u need, dont missunderstand me i still see alot of balance issues, but balance in this game has alwaise been near to impossible; right now 4 of the 6 existing classes can compete and get a +85 win ratio; i just think that a less predictable battle engine focused on luck(omega) is better than a battle engine focused on gap and opness(previous phases)

I loved it in Gamma. Awesome community, tons of people, and the OLD Oz 7. I didn't mind shelling out money for the Varium, and back then fights were pretty quick as well as interesting. Now? I may as well check backt o see how's its going along. Nobody wants to chat, nobody wants to do anything ._.

i play to talk to my friends. if i dont play, i can still email them in other means. its just a way for us to gather and contest against each other.

i play because i like it even if it doesn't have balance, i recently made a supprisingly good CH build which weakness is STR/SUP mage and TECH/DEX mage which chances for me to lose are very big. The other classes i beat them easily, sometimes i get lucked out and beaten which is normal these days

I don't play epic duel in my mind very often. I usually only try and do it on a computer.

Because I'm a Founder in the game... But these days being Founder in the game doesn't mean anything anymore... The Founder Armor isn't the strongest armor, the Beta Tester Weapons are useless, and Founders don't get any special boosts in battle like Founder Cores or permenant stats upgrades... Founders and Beta Testers don't really have any reason to look any better or stronger than people who just started... The Founder Armor and Beta Tester Primary, Sidearm, and Auxiliary, should be the strongest weapons in the game.

I'm back here for a few days 'after missing 2 years' or weeks i'll see. I'm having fun playing low level alts. I have two founders I have no intention of trying to max level out they both 32's right now. I'm not going to put massive amts of money in this game just to compete fairly. This game was great at one time and still has some playability for me at low levels but i'm just bored with my regular games atm which is why i'm here. Counterstrike source forever!!! lol

@Blackdragonsteel09, I completely disagree with you. If they made old things that are no longer availible to the public (like the Beta weapons and Founder armour) stronger than anything else in the game, new players might as well just give up on becoming number 1 on the leaderboard because the old players would have a massive advantage. At least THINK for a second before you state your opinion. I'm a founder myself, and sure while it would be nice to get some kind of cores, it's only logical it should at least not be game breaking.

I play ED because its addictive and there is always something new. The art is also nice, especially the comic like backgrounds in a cyber punk environment. This reminds me to old school games like Space Quest and other Sierra Software stuff that I used to play when I was young. Also because it can be played without money but thats secondary.

I used to play and enjoy this online game. However, ever since TLM is nerfed while the other classes are more powerful, it is the weakest class of all and I spent 50K credits for this"evolved' class of Merc. SIGH...
