Cyber Dream -> Bullet feature broken? (9/29/2013 21:34:52)

I cant seem to make it appear

Char -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (9/29/2013 21:43:28)

Are you sure you are doing it correctly? The correct code for the bullet is

 [*]

For example, for doing one, you would type

 This is a [*] Bullet

Making it look like this

This is a
  • Bullet

  • Cyber Dream -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (9/29/2013 21:48:50)

But when I click the list button it dosen't work. I highlight my text and then click list but nothin appears? Try it out?

Char -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (9/29/2013 21:53:52)

    Let me try...

    • Char
    • Charmander
    • Charmandery

When you click the list, this is what comes up

[ul] Type some Cool title here:
    [*] Nice Point #1
    [*] Nice Point #2
    [*] Nice Point #3
    [/ul]

Try it like that and see if it works.

Skurge -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (9/29/2013 21:54:13)

To add to what Char has explained, there are several forms of bullet points to make:

Basic Bullet with Tab (This is what is used by the "list" button):

    [ul]Here's a list of swords!:
    [*] Sword #1
    [*] Sword #2
    [*] Sword #3
    [/ul]

    would result in

      Here's a list of swords!:
    • Sword #1
    • Sword #2
    • Sword #3

    Numbered Bullets with Tabs:

    Here's a List of Swords and Armors!:[ol][*]Swords[ul][*]Sword #1[*]Sword #2[*]Sword #3[/ul]
    [*]Armors[ul][*]Armor #1[*]Armor #2[*]Armor #3[/ul][/ol]

    would result in

Here's a List of Swords and Armors!:
    1. Swords
      • Sword #1
      • Sword #2
      • Sword #3
    2. Armors
      • Armor #1
      • Armor #2
      • Armor #3

Then there's the basic bullet point which features no spaces or tabs as explained by Char.

Cyber Dream -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (9/29/2013 22:14:54)

    Cyber
    Cyber
    Cyber

@Char Ok this is what i did

Step 1: I made a list like this Cyber
    Cyber
    Cyber

Step 2: I highlighted the list

    Step 3: I clicked list

After i click list no bullets were shown just as i have it at the top of this post. Now i understand that there are mutiple ways of creating bullets, but this one certain way isn't working for me is there anything i did wrong?

    This is when i type [* ]

  • cyber
  • cyber
  • cyber

So this tells me that this may be a bug, right?

Just to make sure the rest of the buttons work

    cyber

    cyber

    cyber

    cyber

    quote:

    cyber

    cyber

    cyber

List seems to be the only one not working right for me

  • Char -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (9/29/2013 23:08:47)

You are right, I tried it and it didn't work. However, it's probably not a bug but more that it was probably not coded. Y'Know, coding it to recognize the Three or more entries and then add the corresponding code would be hard...

    Hope this Helped! :)

Seahawk -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (9/30/2013 20:48:19)

Interesting... if you're referring to the list button, it doesn't seem to work in Firefox. It does work in Internet Explorer. I don't have Chrome or any Mac or handheld browsers handy at the moment so I can't test those...

Anyway, in IE the list button produces the following code:
    [ul]
    [*]
    [*]
    [*]
    [/ul]

If you manually type that code into Firefox, the resulting list looks like this:
      Best Ponies
    • Rarity
    • Fluttershy
    • Princess Luna

If you have a browser that supports the list button, and you type a block of text and highlight it, it does NOT make the list for you... it puts all the text after the first bullet.

All in all, the best way to make a list may be to use the manual bullet
    [*]
as described above, since that's all the List button really does when it works...

Therril Oreb -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (10/1/2013 3:54:37)

Chrome doesn't work either with it so Best option is to follow Seahawk's adviceand type the bullets manually.

Char -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (10/1/2013 7:50:18)

@Therril and Seahawk: Neither does Safari on my Mac.

Cyber Dream -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (10/2/2013 6:36:00)

So it only works on IE?

Skurge -> RE: Bullet feature broken? (10/2/2013 7:45:58)

    Cyber Dream: Precisely.

Google Chrome, Safari, and Firefox currently don't support the "List" feature.
