We all know Mercenary has received a new skill (Static Smash: Smashes an enemy, burning and absorbing their energy as a percentage of the damage)
Well even with Mercenary's lowest strength 5-6 (23 points) it is still capable of taking 30+ energy and regaining 23+ energy.
I would also like to say that Bunker Buster is stronger than Plasma Cannon depending on which level you have it
(Bunker Buster does quite a lot more damage on level 5 than Plasma Cannon on level 5)
Which I think is totally unfair considering Mercenary can keep regaining energy back to use Bunker Buster over and over again while Blood Mage is stuck with a much weaker version of Bunker Buster and can't even use it more than 2-3 times.
What I'm suggesting is NOT a Nerf to Static Smash but a Buff for Plasma Cannon it should be the same as Bunker Buster if not stronger and it hardly matters that it stacks with Blood Lust because if you haven't already noticed we have Blood Mages on strength builds doing over 50+ damage with guns and bludgeon attacks which regain almost 15+ HP.

Bunker and Cannon are the same. They just scale differently, but average out in the end.

I remember why plasma cannon was nerfed in the first place. Unlike bunker blaster Plasma cannon stacked with a blood mage's passive of bloodlust So while Merc's can possibly loop Bunker if they have static smash, Blood mage will get health back every time they use plasma cannon. This was why Bunker wasn't nerfed but plasma cannon was.

As a raw skill yes, but BM's synergy of their skill tree demands lots of skill points into other skills such as defensive buffs and passives, whilst plasma cannon requires high skill point investments (typically 7+, which is a heck of a lot) to be effective. Mercs can hit solid damage on level 5 bunkers and repeatedly energy loop with its usage, but BMs' plasma cannons at level 7 or 8 hit at around the same amount as a level 5 bunker, costs more energy, etc...

Also, I really don't see people using max bunker, nor do I see many use max plasma cannon. As a sample data from public, bunker is probably superior right now because no one can afford to put in a lot of stat points into that skill.

agree with exploding penguin on this... when i have a bm partner with cannon, i know my shot willl be superior regardless of opponents defence. i can bunk, heal, intimidate, and bunk again, all in one game. he wont cannon more than two times, and hes prolly giving up his only heal as well. i think cannon could use a point increase lower to 6 points. itll put it in balance, and leave them energy for another skill still. it may also decourage some bm's fomo the typical strength build by giving them more than 4 single usefull skills (intimidate, bloodlust, deadly aim, and bludgeon)

either that or further decrease the amout of defense it reduces (i.e. increase it 30%) and keep current cost and requirements.

The Plasma Cannon should have never been nerfed and nerfing that skill because the Blood Mage has Blood Lust is an illogical excuse because the Blood Mage has one shot to use the cannon where as the merc can use Bunker with their new energy regain skill 2, 3, or 4 times in one match which I seen them get critical damage each time and that the merc can steal pretty much all the Blood Mage energy making the Plasma cannon a wasted stat skill but the amount of health returned from the Plasma cannon is not enough to make a difference when the merc turns come they take away all the health you gain.
