Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to be able to adjust the game volume? Because I can't listen to music without getting tinnitus from Private message requests.

danirasab -> RE: Game volume (10/30/2013 19:32:32)

maybe the message of the private message could blink 10 times since that helps alot of disabled people when they pick up the phone (seen my grand ma doing that)

I mean like when someone requests it, it does a really loud noise.

ikr.

Solution: don't use your PC/laptop for music.
1) using your PC/laptop for music creates lag
2) not using your PC/laptop for music means you can adjust all sounds to your likning

LOL; but that doesn't answer his question. It doesn't create lag for him; it just that he wants to here the "ding" sound in a quite voice if someone PMs him but also to listen to his music peacefully.

Ehh; there are a load of people out there that listen to music while playing ED because there are not many sound effects in the game. Ehh I find it very weird of people not listening to whatever they are listening to while playing ED because without sound in the game; it is very boring to play

Seteriel -> RE: Game volume (10/31/2013 9:22:59)

The point is: use a hifi system for your music - while your PC/laptop only creates the game sounds.

Ranloth -> RE: Game volume (10/31/2013 9:27:44)

Buying a new music system (hi-fi/laptop/PC) shouldn't be an excuse for one feature to not be created. DF has it - you can put the volume up and down, and turn off music and/or sound, whichever you want.

Scyze -> RE: Game volume (10/31/2013 15:22:28)

^Also for MechQuest.
I am actually neutral with this suggestion. If you don't want the sound to affect you, you can turn it off. However, sometimes, you need to turn it on so you can multitask and know what's going on.

And listening to music doesn't always create lag. If your computer has enough memory (RAM), you can sometimes experience no lag at all.

King FrostLich -> RE: Game volume (10/31/2013 15:50:12)

What about the master volume in the laptop/PC itself? Is that enough to simply adjust the sound?

danirasab -> RE: Game volume (10/31/2013 16:15:35)

^^

You can't do it all all Pcs/windows (Such as windows xP).
I know you can do it in windows 7 but then again he could listen to music on youtube rather then on media player or on .MP3.
If he does use media player or .MP3; then he should send me a PM so I can help him out
