Emperor_Blitz -> Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 1:52:57)

I've noticed that in this update today i guess, it now cost's 20 energy to force somebody to strike you and why is this? It also costs 15 energy to debuff someones shield. As well as omega override it costs 12 energy to use it what was this for?

XapApp -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 2:10:00)

It was mentioned on the Design Notes.

Musk Mania Continues:

Balance
Another change coming to this Friday's release is a balance update that will specifically address cores. For many builds, it is more useful to use a series of cores than to invest in particular skills and stats. For this reason, we are adding energy costs to many cores. This change will require you to think strategically about reserving enough energy to use all of your cores and necessary skills, adding variety and tactical choice to battle.
This is not the last balance change we have in mind, but because it is quite a big change, we could not fit in any other adjustments this week. Look for more farther reaching changes in the coming weeks.

toopygoo -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 18:07:16)

to be fair, seeing as these are cores, and came with a price, be it cash or credit, i think they could easily use a 30% decrease in energy cost. i mean... some characters have no energy regain and this really is against their skill tree. should a class be less reliant on cores? is it fair to decide that everyone must pay the same amount for the, cores, but only be able to take less advantage of it? so yeah, easily 30% decrease

CN2025 -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 18:10:58)

all the cores that cost energy are 5 energy too much besides exile/legion strike which has a perfect energy cost imo

and frost bite should have an edge overfrost shards like lower energy cost because it is a promo whereas frost shards you can pay with credits a its kinda pising me off

Scyze -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 19:09:35)

You guys are complaining that the Energy requirement is too high... When you guys use the Azrael's Will or Torment, it gives you guys an advantage - something some people don't have. Now, there is a cost to use them, so? When you use Azrael's Torment, it's like a cheap de-buff. When you use Azrael's Will, it's almost like a stun.

The Developers do know some Classes have been hit hard with this update. Do you want to go back into the past? Since Omega, we've been able to use the Cores freely. Should we go back, like how it was in Delta; luck based? And you do not need to use the Cores every single battle.

Just because some Classes have Reroute doesn't mean they will use a Core. They might only use the Energy for the Class' Skills. The Cores, now, behave like Class Skills except any Class can use a Core. When BMs have 10 Energy, do you want to use Bludgeon (+23%) and risk a block or do you want to use Meteor Shower (+10%) and expect a lot of damage?

toopygoo -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 19:45:05)

i dont have azraels. even as a bystander, 20 seems incredibly high. especially since sine a lot of classes dont have a passive reroute, and energy drains just got the buff of having more with less cost... im a merc with exile strike, i have neither a passive energy gain, nor an expensive core, however, i would be pretty ticked in some of the other players situations. im trying to empathize with them, and i encourage you to do the same. mark down every time you think "Dang im glad i got energy still"

as someone with the cheapest core, i find its adjustment just right, however i'd feel ripped off if i had any of the other actually paid for cores..

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 20:15:52)

The only classes that do use it for the most part or players who do use it flock to BH and TM, I seen some CH who try to abuse it with hax debuff. I find this to be a fair until the nerf to debuffs are implemented. When the debuffs are weakened, then they can reduce the cost of Azreal Aux at least.

AQisFuN -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 20:42:05)

@toopygoo Excuse me! After this update you have the most broken move in the game: Static Smash

toopygoo -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 20:45:36)

@ AQisFUN

quick question: what is this based off of, because i can give 2 reasons why it is now more risky, and only one why it is not more useful than it was before. The move has existed for the last 6 months at least, and it was given no percentage buff or made unblockable in the last update.

AQisFuN -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/2/2013 23:13:37)

Though, it doesn't really need a buff. It's extremely powerful, draining around 50% of your opponents energy at 45 strength. Even though blockable, you can still use it as my times as you want in a duel. So when your opponent gathers enough energy, you static smash them again. That is indeed frustrating. And in 2v2, when your partner is relying on you, your energy gets drained due to Static smash. Now what? You can't do nothin'! No cores, no defence, no debuffs, nothing.

ED Divine Darkness -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/3/2013 11:59:33)

wow, static smash isnt op. i was laughing as soon as i read ur post aq. its easy to counter as a tlm: smash back! if you cant have energy dont let them have any. and your class can poison abuse, which merc tanks are super weak to.

oops, you are now a mage. lol? you should be able to beat mercs with a mid str hp dex build. just malf, overide, and hit hard.

toopygoo -> RE: Azraels Gun and Aux (11/3/2013 19:01:41)

exactly :P i have yet to encounter a SMART mage who has fallen to my static smash, and couldnt get back up... Mages have a super easy time undoing what i do to them, becasue they can simply steal back, and reroute to have enough energy to still cast their low cast/efficient spells. BH's dont need it at all against mercs, or BM's either (unless tanking BM's) Tac mercs also have reroute, and a drain of their own. Its not op. it gives us an edge in certain aspects,but it is not OP.
