Sensei Chan -> Battery Backup [Solution] (11/10/2013 15:43:48)

Lower the energy that it gives you, don't change anything else it's the amount of energy that is the problem, also you have energy stealing-taking cores like piston punch and also assimilate, I wouldn't add a requirement to Battery Backup because then everyone would go glass cannon.

Elite Tuga -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/10/2013 16:03:14)

Sensei chan, I'm glad you finally thought things through because previous posts you have been saying T. Mages are; ''OP OP OP OP'' LOL.

I agree with you on this 1. Just some deductions from 49 energy points to around 41 at level 10, level 36, like 'Trans' mentioned before on other Threads. Should be fairer.

Mother1 -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/10/2013 16:06:27)

Actually giving battery backup a support requirement wouldn't be a bad idea. Why because this would make caster mages who use dex or tech spam builds invest points into support thus making their casting abilities weaker.

Also in case you have forgotten all non caster TM including glass cannons got a nerf due to deadly aim and reroute being removed. That right there it strength support TM hard since they can't get that extra 4-9 damage with their sidearms.

Also don't forget strength support builds have extremely low defenses and if they took the turn to get back energy they are leaving themselves open for attack which would hurt them in the process so giving battery backup a support requirement wouldn't help glass cannon TM.

Note I didn't say strength requirement because that in turn would help casters power up assimilation

Bug or not, Battery Backup does not give 49 energy at level 10, it gives 45.

ur going to fail -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/10/2013 16:09:25)

I 100% disagree. I am a str merc and I beat caster TM. Sometimes they win though, the point is that if the build is not 100% perfected yet (trust me, it is not) and all the classes surrounding it are sane (100% working, no flaws, builds that should beat said OP build, should but dont). Unless you agree that caster TM is old delta str TLM OP, then go ahead and nerf it.

WE SHOULD WAIT until MARK OF BLOOD IS FIXED. And for CH to get some modifications (its a bit messed up).

Patience please!

Make it cost health.

AQWorldsFarmer -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/10/2013 19:31:24)

Thats a good idea dannii, Maybe 3 health at one and 13 at max?

Pemberton -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/10/2013 20:37:01)

Yes. Battery back up is so OP a lvl 6 EMP can make it nothing...

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/10/2013 20:45:19)

@ Pemberston

Not true, because some TM can regan up to 49 enegy back after you attempt to drain them, they only need 45 for their ultimate. This is also excluding that they have assimilate/Regenerate. There is literally nothing you can do to stop Surgical/Super attacks.

DeathGuard -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/10/2013 20:51:03)

Just because it can be countered, doens't means it can't be abused. e.g. Battery Backup can be used without an energy requirement while emp needs energy to be used. If you see it in the long run of the battle, it is improbable they would use emp x2 or x3 in a fight, the regain of energy would be high with Battery Backup + Assimilation. It seems it is out of control, since currently is the only class with 2 energy regain skills.

A 5 turn cooldown would fit too, if necessary.

Midnightsoul -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/11/2013 1:24:31)

@ur going to fail
Try without Static Smash next time please or switch into classes without Battery Backup.

@on topic
My original solution was to halve its effectiveness and put the cooldown to 2 just so TM's have to sacrifice more turns to regen, but whoever mentioned a support requirement also has my support for the idea as well. Maybe strength requirement...idk. Remember though, this will also effect TLM's.

Pemberton -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/11/2013 2:39:50)

Battery back up is so OP, but energy leech is not? What???

zion -> RE: Battery Backup [Solution] (11/11/2013 5:41:21)

^+1
Energy leech is more OP, for sure get rid of the *1.5 nonsense... maybe even .5
