AssassinOrd3r -> TLMS (11/23/2013 18:32:21)

tlms who were regularly tank have been nerfed and brought down to mere support builds that rarely work (lose rate zooms while wins decrease) the tank builds end up working like for 2 or 5 battles then it disappears tlms need a buff also what is with deflections happening way too often i feel like rage quitting at times

Altador987 -> RE: TLMS (11/23/2013 19:07:57)

why not trying to use strength... or a decent balance of the four stats... also most tlms use support and poison which works quite well

Mother1 -> RE: TLMS (11/23/2013 19:40:17)

Tank's needing a buff that is a good one. Most people use the offensive support build from TLM because thanks to back up battery they can work this build real easy now where as Mineral armor even though you get better protection from it than before still costs energy.

Most only use it when they get smoked from a bounty hunter as an unbreakable counter.

As for deflections ans blocks happening more often, well people are now tanking more since this last update nerfed offensive (strength and support) while buffing up tank builds for longer battles. Since more people now invest in dex and tech the chances for these to happen now increase a lot more.

well, we are talking about tanks needing a buff. we arent talking about support or str.

I have tried this before. In fact, I have tried almost every combination and permutation of builds for a TLM. Conclusion? No match for a BM,TM or BH.

Altador987 -> RE: TLMS (11/23/2013 22:07:19)

and what would either of you suggest lol, and why not bring the fact that it isn't a match without tanking so they can fix it so you don't have to tank

Jekyll -> RE: TLMS (11/23/2013 22:15:57)

What do you want me to suggest? There is almost no way out for TLMs except to leave the game until balance is attempted.

TLMs don't have any build options.

1) Support - just got nerfed, plus defenses have been buffed
2) Strength - only double strike and frenzy base on strength, and they are not even fantastic
3) Tank - 10+ minutes for a 1v1 with another tank TLM or TM

Altador987 -> RE: TLMS (11/23/2013 22:21:24)

1. support being nerfed hasn't stopped tact mercs at all as they seem to love the new poison multi build as it's all i see.
2. why do they need to be fantastic, you have something that gives you strength which can be used for just hitting and shooting and then adding something like poison
3. ok but stating this doesn't solve anything for anyone

i want you to suggest whatever you think might help not sulk and tell me what doesn't work i gathered that from your earlier statement lol

Mother1 -> RE: TLMS (11/23/2013 23:07:34)

@ Altad987

It was the aux and crits that got nerfed from support. Plus the only real offensive skill is artillery strike which didn't get a nerf power wise so that would explain why tactical merc and merc still use this build.

Strength got the hardest hit. Since all the skills other than fireball work with the primary and that lost 2 points of damage all those moves got an indirect nerf.

Altador987 -> RE: TLMS (11/24/2013 9:27:42)

i know what was nerfed however that hasn't changed much, strength got hit the hardest but there are some strength builds that work quite well they weren't made useless

Jekyll -> RE: TLMS (11/24/2013 10:41:10)

Obviously as I see from your character page, you are a BH. It is probably your build that cannot defeat TLMs, and you are not representative of the ED population. The general consensus around ED veterans is that certain classes have fallen far behind.

And before you repetitively ask me to suggest something, I'm not even pressing for a TLM buff. I'm just sick of people saying the poison build is OP when it is saddled with so many inherent theoretical and empirical flaws.

TLMs were crafted upon defenses, leaving few offensive skills bar Artillery Strike. With the removal of passive armours, little remains. Perhaps these things should be left to the balance team. They are definitely in agreement with me if you have carefully read the flow of previous balance changes and announcements.

Bionic Bear -> RE: TLMS (11/24/2013 11:08:28)

I'm using TLM right now, and I'm running a strength/poison/stun-nade build. Not at the max level, yes, but it still works very well. The only thing I have some difficulty with are caster mages piling on energy damage.
But I would agree that tanks are way down on the bottom right now. Any offensive build can power through them with ease.

Altador987 -> RE: TLMS (11/24/2013 11:24:44)

actually i have six different accs dear i just chose to showcase my bh, i'm a mage a merc, 2 other bhs i havent used in years, and my favorite but oh so underpowered cyber hunter... i tell you this to disprove your silly theory however it's irrelevant whether i have 10,000 thousand bh's as that doesn't make my opinion any less than yours oh "veteran" i don't really care what you're asking for i just said suggest something as complaining is pointless and a waste of everyone's time. In your opinion tlms were crafted upon defenses, you can't make a general statement as law based solely on your own belief, i can't see how anyone is in agreement with you as you havent suggested anything, if you mean they agree with your complaints that isn't worth much as anyone can simply state the obvious over and over again. my build actually works fine against just about anyone as i don't expect to win everything i simply stated the obvious copycat tlms that seem to do quite well for themselves. If you're going to put out an argument at least contribute something rather than stating what is already known

Mother1 -> RE: TLMS (11/24/2013 12:05:37)

@ bionic bear

Only if they are high offensive builds. Before I class changed I was using a moderate damage offensive build that used to work really well against most things I fought against. However due to the nerf to not only offensive but debuffs, you can't get any real damage unless you are spamming a stat.

Moderate damage builds have been hit the hardest with this change.
