I don't think putting a cost on this was a good idea, much less a whopping 7 EP cost (in comparison to the skill's effect). Frost Shards was understandable because it also dealt damage. I guess the same with energy storm since it could drain two opponent's energy. Using Energy shot leaves you a turn without rage. It's also not as worth using as before because the energy cost is roughly the same as the amount that you drain. This skill was already balanced, if not underpowered before they added the energy cost. Now it's absolute trash.

The only time I use this skill is if there is no longer a way I can quickly regain energy and have only enough energy for this core, to drain the enemy's energy.

Oh yea, and another negative is that it puts your sidearm into cooldown

If you don't like the core, then DON'T USE IT and replace it. It's as simple as that.

@pemberton That would work if there were more active gun cores. Sadly there aren't any so it is either energy shot or nothing.

Energy shot is not supposed to be a super skill...it is a situational skill. No other gun cores is not an excuse to make this core OP.

no one said anything about making it OP calm down lol, i mean i like the core as it is prolly cause there isn't anything else but i mean sure it could use a smalll buff but all the original cores other than generator could

@Pemberton you said if don't like the core replace it. But there is nothing to replace it with. The fact that this core actually costs energy when it drains so little is a joke. In all honestly this core should have it's energy cost removed.

I'm just guessing here, but Mother1, just probably wants to drain every single energy in her fights. No cost static grenade -46 woohooo! Wait, let me drain you some more! No cost energy shot! Woooohooo! Bring up valid balance issues rather than these sneaky attempts to make your class more overpowered.

@pemberton FYI Energy shot drains like 8 EP, costs 7 energy, disables your sidearm, does not give rage. The core sucks compared to the others. Do you also think piston punch is OP? Because with full resistance, it removes 25 energy, does damage, gives rage, and costs nothing (in fact you get some EP for yourself).

wait yours only takes 8? i mean mine doesn't do a whole lot better at 12 but it's literally not worth using if you lose the same amount yourself

You need to increase your STR for more drain. Btw, piston punch tickles for 3 dmg, gives 1 millimeter of rage.

@ Pemberton Here is one. This core works with your sidearm damage which in turn got nerfed when they did the last balance update. By the staff nerfing sidearm damage they indirectly nerfed this core since it works with sidearm damage which was weakened by 2 points of damage making it that much weaker.

@altador Well that was on my level 28 alt. It's probably even worse with weapon damage getting nerfed.

@ Dual that is correct. This core as I mentioned before took an indirect nerf since it works with sidearm damage which in turn got nerfed when they did the last balance change.

Again, as I said before, if you think a core is weak, DONT use it, or if you don't know how to use it, DONT use it. Ex. Azrael's Will costs 20 energy for 3 dmg to get striked in the face. Do I use it? Even if I paid 50$ for it? No. Because it is weak and a waste of energy. Energy shot costs what? 10,000 credits? A small sum compared to my 50$ Azrael Gun which is was made useless due to countless unbased claims of OP-ness.

@ pemberton this isn't the first thread made about this core needing a buff. People had made threads about how weak this core was and how it needed a buff since the beginning of omega. But for agrument's sake please explain why this core is balanced.

Hey, if you want all the free drains for your bounty hunter, then by all means, convince the Devs to do it. After all, this is how we came up with Static Grenade because the BH complained. And I guess it worked out for the BH's. [:)]
