. Do I seem to be the only one unsatisfied with balance changes. its either they put the skills over powered or underpowered. please state the skills you think are underpowered and discuss why. hopefully the thread will give an insight on what is appropriate.


Energy leach
Overload
Plasma rain
Plasma connon little under powered
Fireball

I can't get efficiency out of them.

You don't even state a reason why it should be buffed, except for saying you're unsatisfied. Interestingly enough, it's aimed purely at BMs which makes it sorta biased. Furthermore, you should've posted it in ED Balance, where it belongs.

I believe he listed a bunch of skills that would never be reliable in battle.

Energy leach - Too easy to burn energy and make this useless even at level 10.
Overload (Tech mage) It's very ineffective to use a dex build over a tech since robot can also be unitized with a tech based build. It is also better to use generate for health than energy (unless playing against a BH)
(Blood mage) with no reliable source of energy since reflex's bonus was removed, there is no way to unitize a caster build with blood mage now.
Plasma rain - I don't think its underpowered in 2v2 but they're many that out perform plasma rain.
Plasma Cannon - In a game that puts tech on such a high pedestal it is impossible for a blood mage to utilize a tech based build.
Fireball - It's just a high costing level 1 unblockable bludgeon? Terrible skill.

Plasma rain and overload aren't underpowered. Scales faster and stronger then the hunter's multi and stun and they both scale dex as well. The mages' stuns/multis are the better moves. Energy parasite... I don't really know how to buff it, but it could use it. Fireball may need to scale a little stronger. Plasma cannon I haven't looked at, but it should scale to bunker if it doesn't already.

Awhile Plasma Rain/Overlord may be usable, its an inferior build to Plasma bolt, Supercharge (eve level 1) and infernal/poison bot is what I was trying to get it. Also, that still does not make up for how lack luster they are with blood mage.

They are pretty decent skills, I don't see the problem with them, can you elaborate so I know what you mean?

Well she is a Blood Mage - with bad synergy to multiple casting skills (although focusing on spamming one seems to work).

Str, Would improve the damage from the following skills, energy parasite, bludgeon, mark of blood, and fireball, and I had agreed that fireball needs a vamp. (Side-arm and base attack would also be stronger)
Dex, increase chances for bludgeon, energy parasite, and base attack to be hit. Would also increase plasma rain and overload. Increases defense as well.
Support, increases protection from energy shield and reflex boost. Helps with crits, achieving stuns, not being stunned, first strike, and critical strikes.
Technology, increases plasma cannon and overload supercharge damage. Increases bot damage. Increases resistance.

These seem to synergize pretty well in my eyes.

Which are Fireball, Plasma Cannon, Overload, and Plasma Rain.

For example, you don't see Blood Mages use Fireball and Plasma Rain at the same time, do you [8D]

But like I said, focusing on one skill seems to work.

btw: overload improves with dex

I don't see many BMs use fireball period. Mainly because it is so weak. If it were on par with plasma bolt, it would most likely be used more.

Even if they scaled the same look at the stat they power up with. Fireball works with strength which has been nerfed way harder then tech has. Plus with the new style of play meaning tanking is in plasma bolt works well with this where as fireball doesn't.
