Bionic Bear -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 16:16:29)

Think I'll have a snow orb, three shatters, and an ice wall for elf cc. For erf I'm just going to add another frostbite.

BJEBLE -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 16:20:15)

@Bionic Yay more offense, a Snow Orb is a good idea, especially because it doesn't already have an Ice Orb.
EDIT: I just had a duel with an Ice Elf, and the person drew Freeze 3 times. I think its because of Fresh Start, it gets rid of cards pretty quickly.

The Death Angel -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 17:03:35)

I'd like to believe Xmas Elf is one of the strongest chars in the game actually. I am just amazed at that amount of defense it has. That much defense + Shatters is devastating.

@Blade he's kinda hard to use with the sacrifices at early levels, but he evens out at later levels and he's really fun to use. My ideal CC I think is: 1 Shatter, 1 Frostbite, 1 Snow Orb, 1 shield, 1 525. As you can see, my Erf is very diverse.
EDIT: @bionic Yeah Elf has 6 defensive cards. It's a nightmare to fight against, she just Ice Wall, Healing Spring, Shatter/Attack card.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't think Erfeirung has much potential due to FrostBite's inefficiency. Elf on the other hand I agree with Death Angel about as being one of the strongest characters yet.

For some reason, when I click onthe Buy Pack for the CC page, some letters are missing. Example: It says 1000 old instead of 15,000 gold

The Finnish Phoenix -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 18:01:21)

I've got to admit since Sacrifice and Life Drain started working with SuperCharged I've been enjoying Cyber Void even though I hated it before.

JoelJ1998 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 18:54:21)

I wonder what is gonna be the next CC rotation

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 19:01:55)

Light and Neutral. Two are being released together, and you can see the order they go in on the card customization screen.

JoelJ1998 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 19:10:19)

OH. Thanks Jop!
Honestly not a fan on Orc Chieftain...thats 100k gold gone :( ohwell time to wait for a cooler free neutral

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 22:54:24)

@TFP Are you using life drain with it now? I see that empower, surge, and energize still don't work with sacrifice and life drain, however. But Sage confirmed it, so there might still be hope. Still going with poisons for me. ._.

@below This is against tanky things like earth, ice, and light. The poisons do constant damage while you search for the cards for energize and the attack cards. Other than that energize though, you'll be using plain attack cards over and over again. You might as well have made it water or some other element if you do that. I feel that poison is one of shadow's greatest assets, and that not using it would be a waste. You just need the perfect number of it though, less for more energize chance with card cycling and more for more of the DoT. I don't use a full five card CC for it, though.

Edit: Also, if if you want to fully depend on super charge, you might as well use volty like TFP suggested. It's like adding attack cards to a character concentrated on DoTing, to, perhaps, balance it out.

BJEBLE -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/25/2013 22:57:44)

@Kiazz Why Poisons? They just take away from the focus of the deck, attack cards, and tries to turn it into something else.

Nah, I just use one Neutral 525 but I did CC Blood Rages and Life Drains to check and they do work with Charged/Super. It's still pretty inconsistent and Volt Engineer is infinitely better, but it CV is fun to play.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 0:38:49)

Equipping Poison on Cyber Void's deck is not going to be a good idea but equipping 1 Poison won't affect Cyber Void's strategy and the draw of the card you need to work out Cyber Void's main strategy in attacking with combo bonus. For me, equipping 2 Life Drain will be a good choice consider its an attack card despite it heal our characters' HP. Also, it will balance out with 2 Sacrifice.

I just tested Supercharged with Sacrifice, Blood Rage and Life Drain and it work out perfectly! However, Surge and Energize still don't work out with Sacrifice, Blood Rage and Life Drain yet. Maybe in the next release or so, Surge and Energize will finally work out perfectly with Sacrifice, Blood Rage and Life Drain.

TheSage -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 3:30:15)

Surge and Energize use normal attack cards, Sacrifice, Blood Rage and Life Drain are Special Attack cards they will not be effected by Surge Energize or Empower.

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 3:57:58)

quote:

as for Energize and Surge yes they will work on them (along with Empower/Might)

Edit : Keep in mind it will have no effect on your HP, just damage.

So you have recanted?

Edit: Fixed quote.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 5:09:18)

@Sage
Seriously? If you say so, then there is nothing I can say but at least supercharged could boost sacrifice, blood rage and life drain damage. :D

Cyber void become more fun to use than ever for it can easily deal even 4k plus damage with 2 sacrifice and 2 500 damage card with just only 8 energy. :D

I can see pros and cons to this. On the pro side it will not be open to too powerful combos. On the downside, it severely weakens any characters who rely on Special Attack Cards.

TheSage -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 6:54:16)

It would make Shadow even stronger then it is now if those cards were treated as normal damage cards and able to be boosted by Empower/Might/Surge and unfair for cards like Snow orb and Crush that can't be boosted because they are special attack cards and not normal attack cards.

Edit : Let me just clarify, Special Attack Cards are cards that add to your attack combos but also have added effects, Normal Attack Cards are just that, they deal damage with no special effects to them (Pierce/Unblockable are not considered a special effect). Cards that have their own animations like Fireball, Shadowfire, Chain Lightning, are spell cards.

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 6:57:13)

Fair enough, but why is snow orb called an "orb" despite its nature as a special attack?

TheSage -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 7:02:50)

@Kiazz : Originally the idea was just a mini-Ice Orb, but due to the way the shield > attack coding is set up it was an attack like crush instead of a spell line Ice Orb

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 7:23:04)

@Sage
Yeah, I never consider if Energize and Surge work on Sacrifice and Life Drain, shadow will be very strong causing the game to be imbalance due to the reason you stated about Snow Orb an Crush. I am okay with it since Supercharged boosting Sacrifice, Life Drain and Blood Rage is already far good enough. Thx for the clarification.

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 7:28:19)

Aha, and why don't attack combos affect crush? It's an seems like an attack card, kind of; why do combo bonuses affect sacrifice and lifedrain but not crush, despite their status as "special attack cards"? Coding? why are they categorized together in one way, not being affected by boosts, but not the other, combos? Thanks, getting definite answers for the game is satisfying.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 137 - READ THE FIRST POST (12/26/2013 7:38:54)

Crush work the same as Ice Orb and Snow Orb. Its consider a "special spell card" despite being a "special attack card" since it used the total amount of shield to convert into damage instead of just being an attack card which deal damage without converting shield into damage but affect our characters' HP. That's what I think it mean.
