Bunker buster used to have a fairly large range on how much damage it could do, the range has been removed, which is cool. Problem is, all they did was remove the top end, and leave the skill only able to do the MINIMUM damage it used to be able to do, resulting in a huge nerf. Noticed this when I logged on to my merc just a few minutes ago, his bunker used to do 57-63, now it just does 570. Did this skill really need a nerf like that? Damage range got removed on Surgical Strike, too, but that was left at the top end of the range, so that's fine.

Plasma Cannon ended up in the same way - it was 54-60 damage for me, and now it's 540 or 544 damage IIRC.

I found myself this case as well. I was not too sure at first but I believe that this has happened.

it should take the average of the range so if it was 54-60 it should do 57.

In reality, yes, it did need that nerf. It was a very powerful skill. High damage, ignores defenses, reasonable energy cost, guaranteed hit, 25% crit chance.

Well, I don't think it needed that nerf because their energy drain skills rely on the energy pool of their opponents. A possible mitigation of those moves would be an extra turn of cooldown.

What's funny is, even nerfed, Bunker still outdamages Surgical by a LONG way for the same energy.......

i don't think it got nerfed , the old system used to round up so maybe it now only got 4 instead of 10 .

we need a staff clarification here since DNs didn't get written.

@darkdevil, this isn't about rounding, it's about the skill being at the bottom of the old damage range, read the OP. If they wanted to keep it at the same power, it would have been put in the middle of the old range like Divine said, but that isn't the case.
