There Should be a inventory lock like when we press inventory button It ask us the password so in this case our account things wont be sold out and if hacker hacks also he cant do anything otherthan battles... How's the idea?

CN2025 -> RE: Inventory lock (12/25/2013 4:12:17)

like a secondary password?

Mother1 -> RE: Inventory lock (12/25/2013 4:25:24)

Not supported.

If someone gets hacked it is their own fault as they gave out their password to another person which has not only a big no no, but against the rules and a bannable offense at that. If someone gets hacked/scammed and all their items get sold it is their own fault for giving out their password.

axell5 -> RE: Inventory lock (12/25/2013 5:36:23)

i have to agree with mother1. There is no such thing as hack, only scam which is when someone GIVES their password to another person so basically it's THEIR fault and if they make that mistake they have to bear the consequences(whatever the spelling is)

BIG LAWWWWL

if the game had like 40k players in ED (that will never happen), the game is most liekly to be hacked but only the minority play this game.

axell5 -> RE: Inventory lock (12/25/2013 10:52:51)

THEN there could be... but for now there is no such thing

@axell5

Not to turn this thread into a hacking discussion, but if you think hackers don't play epic duel then you don't talk to people enough. There are in fact people that hack ED.

@OP

Similer things to this have been suggested many times. I think they should add this to FAQ. The reason why I don't support this is because if someone gets your password they will have no hard time getting your other one. They'll say something like, "I'll need it to make sure i got you varzzzz pl0x 1337 3l1t3 HAX broo."

And even if you don't budge, I'm sure 90% of the community would choose the same password they used for their account, making it easy anyways.

@CN2025 Yes,a secondary password. ~Vampi

DarkDevil -> RE: Inventory lock (12/28/2013 6:36:20)

seeing as how the password need an upercase and lowercase letter and a number then the probability of it getting hacked is nearly impossible.

sharing accounts is against game rules therefore whoever gets scamed deserves what he got.
there is no need for you to make sure he won't scam you as you have done it willingly.

Xyzali -> RE: Inventory lock (12/28/2013 7:08:59)

Agree with you Vampi.
Hacking ed is not very hard for a programmer.
and there should be a secondary password before selling/buying things costing more than lvl x100 credits e.g for level 2, password for buying 2x100 items for 200 credits or more. for lvl 30 password for items costing 30 x100 i.e 3000 credits or more.

Lycus -> RE: Inventory lock (12/28/2013 18:59:32)

The quote above sums up one part of it, the other part is that having multiple passwords will just confuse most players, a lot of people (including myself at times) have to keep track of so many different passwords for different things... If you then have one to log into EpicDuel and then another to unlock the inventory, I can tell you now that a large percentage of players will use the same password again and a large percentage that use a different password will then forget the password used. Now if this were to be 'super secure' having a password reset to the email would not completely work, since a simple email change can solve that for those taking the account. So basically there would be the option of coding another security feature to get the forgotten password, which will be hard to 'safety proof' and in the end the amount of issues that come up with implementing such a large project just completely outweigh the pros. Especially when the likely scenario will end with player support being overwhelmed with endless emails of players saying they have forgotten their passwords for their inventories, this is something they just do not have the time to deal with on top of all the usual emails they deal with.

Due to the above reasons, I am locking this topic up since it is not going to be implemented and therefore there is no point in discussing it further.
