i am frequently muted on epic duel while play 2v2 and i actually play only 2v2, so have frequently people asking direct for f4f or said what is needed do and i cant answer nothing, so to solve the problem make all player know that you was muted. the words sayed by me maybe is offensive in USA and common in Brazil, i dont know exactly

Not a bad idea to tell people someone's muted and cannot chat with you. However, if you don't want players to know you're muted, then what do you do? I think that you should have a choice for the icon rather than everyone knowing you're muted when you want it to be private.

You can be muted by a group of players mass-reporting you for whatever reason, even if you do not act viciously towards anyone.

Perhaps similar to how the "Type Chat here..." text is automatically in place but is deleted upon a click, for muted players it has a different text perhaps "Player is Muted" in red text and that could be the only thing muted people can say and is not deletable.

i am muted only while play 2v2 and are reported only by my partner, is hard keep calm watching you partner doing extremly noob moves.

Then use the Chat for communication. If you can't - because you're muted - then rely on instinct and - next time - don't break the rules. You're muted because of your behaviour - and rightfully.

i don't say that my mute was wrong, i ask about only made a icon for alert the players that do questions for you and you can't answer nothing

But what if someone doesn't want it to show (mute button)? Sure, I can have an option to disable it but then my partner will know nothing of my mute - what's the difference, compared to now? Being able to chat is a privelage, and if you abuse it, you will have it taken away and put yourself at a disadvantage.

the option of distable will make useful to everybody, my partner can't be punished also if he want my opnion about a strategy losting time writing, why only you disaggre the idea?

I agree with this concept, dfo99 +1

It's very annoying when we get muted & our unaware friends speak to us through private chat/mail & we can't answer back, leaving them worried.
Muted players should either still be able to talk to friends listed on the buddy list or at least show everyone that we are currently muted in red lettering.


Hope Dev's look into it.

Not exactly, no.

I've done this with some buddies, all report one guy in like 1 hour, and he didn't said anything bad, yet got muted. (we hated him)
It is not always because of misbehaviour, Trans.

It's not very hard to make the muted players noticeable to others (well at least I don't think), thus this idea should be approved.

That is true, but in this case, my post was aimed at dfo himself, and he's stated the reason as of to why he was muted multiple times already. I'm aware that the system can be abused - false reports can still occur, even under the improved report system.

I always think muted players are botting, so I support this. We just need an icon that shows the player is muted.
