This is debatably the strongest core in the game. The cost of this core is 120 energy. Its effect is a guaranteed 100% physical attack that drains 25% of your enemies' rage and giving it to the user. Essentially a way to do good damage, set yourself up for a massive attack, and leave your target too weak to retaliate. All for 120 energy. This core should have a higher price. In my opinion, somewhere between 150-200 energy would be fair for this core since its effect is so great.

Pemberton -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 0:57:47)

This is better than Azrael's Will but with lower energy cost. It's weird.

Scyze -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 1:40:14)

When I used the Core in Delta, it wasn't as powerful for some reason. I didn't feel like it was reducing Rage by 25% but now it feels like it is doing it. :/

ED Divine Darkness -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 6:09:35)

its because rage is broken. rage is OP and needs to be fixed.

Steel Slayer -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 9:14:10)

Yeah rage is REAL broken, somehow Str builds with no support are getting rage super fast.

Ranloth -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 9:15:16)

Because rage depends mostly on the defenses; Support makes it faster/slower to gain rage, but not significantly.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 10:23:29)

@scyze

Platinum's Pride was bugged in delta, so it was stealing less than 25%

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 10:27:51)

eh I would say that you should compare armour skills to armour skills, and chairman's fury seems pretty fair when compared to Generator or Piston Punch.

GearzHeadz -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 11:30:31)

Its still powerful either way, and needs a higher cost.

Ranloth -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 13:03:04)

I don't think it needs major increase. You can always make it deal 85% damage, to compensate for the effect, and 150 Energy to use (as opposed to 120 Energy). Seems fair enough for me, still useable for many and isn't as powerful for Strength abusers in particular.

GearzHeadz -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 13:05:09)

They can't change the damage dealt, as it was advertised as 100% damage.

Ranloth -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 13:07:39)

Tough luck. If it's for sake of balance, it can be changed. Cores were advertised as free, without Energy cost, and yet, they cost Energy - like they were intended to, but wasn't introduced until sometime ago. Wasn't that false advertising either? If it's for balance, money doesn't play a major role.

axell5 -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 14:13:14)

i agree on trans suggestion. Making it deal 75% dmg with 140-150 EP won't be so effective about the str/dex bh's

Mother1 -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 14:24:04)

@ gearzheadz

Where was it advertised that it does 100% damage? Could you please link me to this?

Cause from what I remember chairman's fury was advertised as an unblockable attack that takes 25% of your opponent's rage and gives it to you.

Here is the quote from the design notes right here

quote:

Chairman's Fury is a one-time use, selectable skill that can be used at any time in battle to unleash a powerful unblockable uppercut attack that steals 25% of your opponent's rage for yourself. It can be used once per battle.

Nowhere does it say it does 100% damage so if they made it do 85% damage it wouldn't be false advertising.

GearzHeadz -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 14:27:48)

True. Good point. Most people just assume by attack that it means 100% damage. I did anyways.

Ranloth -> RE: Chairman's Fury (12/27/2013 14:32:27)

It's already unblockable, which is a bonus on its own. Having two effects on top of it (drain + return of rage), and reasonable cost, has to be penalized - either damage or cost, or a mix of both so it's fair for all.
