ValkyrieKnight -> Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 21:12:09)

This is a serious question for discussion.

Edit: After he beat me the 1st time he started going off on me for no reason. He rambled like this for 3 fights.

Chosen 0ne -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 21:19:20)

I know! I hate it when you insult someone and they don't talk back! What is wrong with players these days?

I'm totally kidding, I was pretending that, well you know, nevermind.,

Yes, fortunately he represents a small % of players in Epic Duel. Most people don't do that.

GearzHeadz -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 21:20:15)

Yes people actually do this all the time... And yet the staff won't even consider it as insulting when someone uses the term noob. =/

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 21:23:16)

I found myself thinking that many who tend to conveniently swap to strong classes think this way but they just don't say it. I get an uneasy feeling when I lose to the same class repeadily cause of it.

@Gearheadz

It should not get this way when a person can win win win so much that they feel powered enough to act this way. It's not my build why he beats me, its after he assimilates all my energy away, there's nothing I can do but watch him heal loop me, taking my hp down little by little until I'm defeated.

He called me noob because I was BM and said BM is weak (we all know that) but there was a time where I made a thread that showed nothing but level 35 BMs (which I still have links to the screenshots) at least 40 of them. Now, no one is BM, I wonder why.

JDM -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 21:28:03)

He seems like such a troll. Just trying to piss you off. Lolol. But as long as you don't see yourself as that and you realize he's being ridiculous i wouldn't be taking any of these comments seriously (This goes the same for real life insults as well.)

Ive been called noob lots, and as much as i always wanted to prove them wrong sometimes i couldn't. You can't win all battles. But yes, some people are like that when they feel like they have all this power.

Mother1 -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 21:48:14)

Those types of players are annoying.

They also love to insult you calling you a lucky noob if you block, deflect crit or stun them.

if I do say anything to them I usually say the following.

Huh did you say something?

JDM -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 21:51:37)

@Mother1

Lol my build back in the day was based solely on luck. It was so much fun seeing them go off on me. One time i did 4blocks in a row, and two crits all in one battle.

Jekyll -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 21:59:09)

The best solution to these kind of people is to whack the daylights out of them.

I once met a similar person on my alt, who said "Nice weapons, in fact, you are easy to defeat. All of you are. Weak losers".

These people are smart. Nothing they say is considered as an expletive so technically what they are doing is legal. I believe something should be done to clamp down on these people - especially the one in your pictures. He's a serial offender.

When someone calls me "noob", I just say "come on, don't call yourself that".

Dual Thrusters -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 22:05:02)

Ehh, people have their ways to blow off some steam.

I just troll these guys, their reactions are priceless :3

Xx. Christian .xX -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 22:19:02)

im like him SOMETIMES only when im like on a losing streak (by losing streak im talking about 10 loses in a row)

but i usually say sorry after the game. Just need to get steam out.

Stabilis -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 22:21:44)

I find this charming little quote relevant to the matter.

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 22:57:46)

@ Void

The problem with this is that because I'm 3 - 4 (legendary players) levels lower than my opponent until BM gets some power in the ED universe I can expect to never be able to 1v1 for a good while. I don't like 2v2 all the time. Even worse when they're so few non BH & TMs in 1v1 like this scenario, I'm left facing the same guy 4 times in a row.

Mother1 -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 23:34:51)

@ valkyrieknight

Which is something that will keep happening until the following happens

1 the staff actually balances the classes instead of just changing the flavor of the week build
2 more players within our level range actually play the game since the population is so small now.

FrostWolv -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 23:42:53)

Same thing happened with me ..... I had a tough fight with a BH (better not say his name) and barely won that match he called me lucky noob where I neither crit, def, block nor stun him

Yesterday when I was doing 1v1, he again came up but as a TM and said "you noob class" and also said "you sux at ur winrate" ........ the main thing was I wasnt even in the Leader Board .... really dont know how he has seen my winrate lol

GearzHeadz -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 23:44:34)

He could check your wins/loses.

FrostWolv -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/2/2014 23:45:56)

Well as far as I know my 1v1 play my winrate should be more than 80% as I won quite some those days and most of the time I do 2v2

Remorse -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 0:19:31)

I must say you handled that troll very well,

I would of raged...

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 0:56:35)

I was irritated, not at him, just never being able to find someone who didn't hax defense and heal loop or smoke + meteor + chairman's fury + strike you to death lol BHs. This kinda of behavior and this needless nerfing of classes to the point they're unusual lowers the moral of the game population as a whole. We're stuck with frustrated players and cheap players who keep maining whatevers OP'd.

Allowing players to receive exp rewards from NPCS is not the answer because it lowers the quality of a P.V.P game and makes it a 1/2 P.V.P game. Removing lose count isn't the answer. People still do not like to lose, at least, constantly.

This thread is more of a check on the community's moral rather than what the misleading title says.

Mother1 -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 1:15:41)

@ valkyrie

Well that is what happens when the staff does balance changes. People search for the the flavor of the week build or builds, and when they find them they exploit those builds for wins.

my issue is the more they try to fix the game the worse balance gets.

The last update didn't help all the much either since it only promoted people to use these builds even more to get to level 40.

santonik -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 2:16:53)

Sometimes I see myself these ("# ¤% &") players

Sometimes they are funny, sometimes not. In general, the bullying starts immediately. Or, if I may win and I can see that player again.

in general, they are techmage or boyntyhunter players. As the balance now favors them. And they expect to win all four lower classes easily. Usually when I win ("# ¤% &"), the player then this will immediately assume that I am being ripped off somehow. I have not been ripped off. There's only happened to be in oneself lucky because the opponent has himself made a mistake and given a chance to win.

(Confusion)
Because of this, I have tried many builds. Sometimes, I'll try just weird builds. This confuses a lot because they have not seen before these builds. Sometimes it helps to stir the victory. sometimes it does not.
I see these ("# ¤% &"), players of varying makes comments at a noob at all this way ("# ¤% &").

I'll help ("# ¤% &") players to understand. These annoy some fun. Some of the frustration due. Sometimes'll tell you why I won. This generally requires 1-3 the match against the same person. In general, the bullying has stopped.

These annoy some fun do not stop. I have noticed that some of the ("# ¤% &") players to stop. When they say the game balance behavior. (usually run out of bad behavior)

Then comes this end of the spectrum.
These teasing and teasing what they have time
then stop when you become banned. (Monkeys with bananas)

here has been a lot of interesting comments.

GearzHeadz -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 2:45:22)

Its not because of the class, its just the person. They are the type of person who hops to the next strongest class whenever an imbalancement occurs.

lampur1 -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 3:37:56)

Mine is under 50 and im a tm -.- belive me its alot more terrible when u have more losses but for some reason those people i fight rarely

Hellion Storm -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 4:01:12)

Tm and bher is easy to play. Easy people play easy classes, because thinking outside the box will give them brain damage.

DanniiBoiixD -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 4:23:25)

I would of killed myself laughing in the fight. I have a weird since of humor, I guess. But I hate at the end of the fight when someone calls me a noob, or lucky noob. When they say noob gg, noob, or an other things besides lucky noob, I wait until I beat them and say "OMG u frkin sc noob ROFL" so they can't respond. When they say lucky noob, I respond with "So?". But in your battle I would have just laughed my butt off at it. The way I read it in my head is funny.

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: Is this the mindset behind players who main OP classes. (1/3/2014 5:05:22)

Again, my concern is not for me, it is for the players whom are affected by being put down because they're not so good at the game or just weak at heart. No one is going to want to play a game full of bullies. This reigns true aswell for people who get insulted for trying to start conversations mid-game.
