But Chinese New Year is January 31st ._. (Source: Currently living in one of China's S.A.R.s) So we won't get a release that week? Or is Nulgath saving something else for it?

Actually disappointed that there wasn't a new character as Nulgath's Birthday gift. Oh well...it's fine. Love the Year of Horse btw. :D

But I do disagree, XMas Elf pre-nerf was more than just "decent", the best characters are free in half of all elements (Lightning, Earth, Shadow, and Water), the best Ice characters don't benefit from Ice CC's since Freeze is integral to their strategy and they can convert all their energy efficiently between Ice Walls/Defends/Shatters/Freeze, and between characters like Master Barbarian (4000 defense) and Kruger, free players can get very close to an optimal Ice character. Master Barbarian is as good as any SG Ice character but Cosoma Titan.

Power Flow is compact, but less efficient than regular 500 Attack cards which can also be integrated into combos. Aqueous has the same heals and more total attack cards with two less 200 attack cards, to say nothing of Revonthurkey which can integrate Corruption (2000 damage at no expense to its primary element), which is helpful when there's no offensive Water card more efficient than Water 525.

The Iron Hides are defense enough to support DoT's as well as you'll be able to with a Fire character. Not that Time Gentleman and Dynasty Warrior are in the least bit anything for a VR to worry about.

2 Power Flows isn't necessarily good to be quite honest. You won't be able to execute 2 Power Flows in a battle regardless of level, and the value of Power Flow isn't exactly amazing. The only good thing about it is that it's a single card, which allows you to have 4 other cards in your hand
and better strategise what you'll do afterwards.

Edit: I might actually start to level up my Xmas Elf now. The new deck seems a lot more interesting compared to the old Shield/Heal/Shatter.

@dragon I would have to say no. If I was you, I would wait for next week and see what nulgaths gift is. It will probably be a lot better than the horse, which is not that great tbh. Although, the lobby was full of them

@Dragon Well I'm going to get it. But that might have to do with the fact that I want every character more than it being a good character. Think of it as HHM with healing basically.

to me, any char with 100 attack cards, piercing or not, or more than 3 200 attack cards is not worth using, but i made the exception with time gentleman cuz of super charged and those other ones that reqiuire sacrificing attack cards. these release was rather a bit disapointing, but at least i got an idea for an epic drawing! imagine the dynasty warrior riding the year horse, attacking the headless horseman!

I take it back. Removing Shatter was pretty nice. Just look at this image. I was on a PvP random (FINALLY! Thank you Triadan. :D) And he managed to pull this off. So many SHATTERS! And it didn't stop there. After that, he just kept putting more shatters on me. Maybe after this one, what, 2-3 more or something? It was insane. I had to keep alive by putting up 2 ironhides. :( It was a very fun duel though. I went second, so the level advantage wasn't that important. I wasn't using CC's though. .. and it goes to show you that if you put CC Shatters on Ice Elf, that thing must be un-killable. . . No wonder everyone was complaining. I can just imagine how pre-nerfed X-mas elf felt like. .. Certain doom. :P

However, I think they shouldn't have added Frostbite to her deck. . .that just ruined it in my opinion. :/

P.S: To avoid situations like these, I should start using my CC's. . .LOL! Instead of letting them sit there building up dust, they should be helping me get out of situations like this .. .

How does the New water characters compare to aqueous?

-YoTH: Two powerflows, no sacrifice (may be good or bad, but isn't CC-able), four 200 attacks with 1:1 efficiency, and only two shields and two springs. At least they don't have renew, rapid, or something like that. I'd probably go with aqueous, seeing as the only powerflows you'd have to use are the CC-improved versions, and you have only have one.
-Dynasty Warrior: A smattering of attack cards and rapids with only one healing spring. Still pretty good in that it doesn't have powerflow despite having a fresh start. Still would go with aqueous.

The new decks are pretty snazzy, as water decks go, but aren't as, arguable, good as something like aqueous. Also, theoretically, despite the card space and turns: 5 for 800 healing spring with two sacrifices of 400 health for 500 each=5 for 1000 damage. Just like an instant shatter. There's that. But hands don't always go that way, so you might want to play it safe and not use sacrifice at all.

The best water healing card is still worse than Greater Heal, which I never understood. If water characters were supposed to be specialized healers, why are light characters better than them offensively and defensively? I was thinking some new and better cards might have been introduced with water legendaries which would actually make them the best at healing, but that hasn't happened.

I can sorta see the twisted rationale behind this; I think that it's because you can stack healing springs with CC and you have a mana discard card, unlike in light. Of course, the lack of a good offensive card is a glaring problem for water, as is the two card cost of fresh start. Faced with the DoTing beasts we have now, I agree, the heals aren't exactly enough to make it a good choice as an element in both PVP and PVE either. Also, the fact that the best characters in water already have problems in their decks even with the limited amount of cards now, doesn't help.

Oh, that's a good point. Though I don't like the idea of solving elemental differences with CC, since I don't really have any besides regular attacks.
