Uses Paladin at Snow Forest -> Bunch of Ice Maiden or whatevers and Frost Voids and Barbarians.

Uses Monk -> WHOA it's a THARR! And WHOA, I'm not encountering Ice Maidens or Frost Voids anymore! Just tons more Ice Nomads! And same ol' Barbarians.

Yeah . .I kinda see a difference. . .

Jop is correct using different characters doesn't affect the spawn rate of other characters it's completely random.

Still if you want a answer for your question I encountered moose using YotH

Has anyone had any luck in finding Moose, because I've been refresh farming at the snowy forests in the north map for like about 3 hours and still no sighting of him, even when I try burning down the forests with my FIRE Witch [:(]

Forrest, or only Snow Forrest? Because regular Forrests = quicker Refresh farm.

I'm not sure but I did notice an increase in the female ogres when I used a male ogre and a lot of other people have said the same and using an orc decreases it. Might just be luck though but using a male ogre trapper I found to of the female orges and a ogre shaman in a matter of thirty minutes.

I'm pretty sure it's luck. There's no real evidence for it, just people getting characters with certain characters equipped and thinking it means something special. I mean, I caught DFR on the Warlic server with a Monk that had iron hide, two shields, and an empower CC'd, but that doesn't mean I should start telling people you have a better chance to encounter and possess it if you do that.

I get what your saying.

I caught DFR in three fights on the boss spot with a res with all shields.
Encounter all three orcs in the inn back to back to back twice using Thrak.

All dumb luck.

Of course it's luck. How is that evidence? If it was evidence you would have to do it for months with each character and then compare the numbers. Even then it would just be a theory without staff confirmation.

Luck is definitely what those people are experiencing. I'm pretty sure Nulgath would have informed us of these types of things. The RNG is wayyyyyyyy too complicated to crack when it comes to finding specific characters.

Eh. Oh well. I'll still make sure I use a character that others have used to encounter something- just to be safe no matter what. Lolol.

And it even has some hidden benefits, such as lessening the boredom, and distributing XP more.

Anywho, going to give up on Moose to. I'm not too big on Earth anyway, only on Energy and probably Neutral.

Not going to let it be a DFR and put all my hard-farming to waste. No, not Refresh-farming. Did it full-battles, but no DFR.

Then blew 90k gold on CC's, and got all attack and shield cards. (4 shields only). Now, back at 3k gold. Lolol.

75k gold (couple of weeks ago) + 15k gold (today).

As it seems, so far all the New Year characters are "sophisticated" per say in some way or another.

Father Time: His age is his sophistication.
Time Gentleman: He's a gentleman, enough said.
Future Character: Duchess of Time: She's a Duchess, also enough said.

I'm wondering if this sophistication factor is going to become a time honored tradition
through out the coming years? I'm already looking forward to the Duchess quite a bit,
and if this is going to be the case, then I'm super excited for the prospects of future New Year's characters!
