Most of the references that i can see the devs enjoying are likely too risky or too unknown to the playerbase. For example, you could have a certain NPC start reciting "Who's On First" when they reach critical health, but that could be seen as potentially offensive towards people with autism, comparing their mannerisms to an NPC that was designed with intentionally poor speech. To others, it would just be an interesting Rain Man reference, but that's not a risk you want to take, especially with epicduel's current state of public relations. References and puns that are actually clever like that always bring the risk of being implemented poorly, or having unforseen consequences.

@Xendran: First of all, I myself am autistic, so I understand how it could backfire(sort of). And second, what the heck is Rain Man, and how is that a reference?

OOT: Without spoiling anything, rain man is a movie about a man and his autistic, heavily OCD brother. One of the things he does is recite "Who's on First" when he is under heavy stress (hence the NPC being at critical health). It's not a reference that 99% of EpicDuel players would understand, however. On Topic: I actually think epicduel would do well to incorporate some more old school things. More Cyberpunk and Syndicate references are always nice.
