Luna_moonraider -> class change suggestion (1/17/2014 10:04:50)

After a long break from ed i m slowly starting to play it again but i would say it is well not as fun as i expected cause of certain things now.we are not here to whine about the game back on topic here is my suggestion

Class change mission/modification to class change

we all know every1 likes to abuse class change to class hop. now with this there will no long be class hoppers. u cant use varium to complete these quest cause they are like challenge mission/ normal missions. oh people might say why the hell would we do this cause it is a waste of time and it restrict us from having fun. firstly we need to restrict class change because when a class becomes strong almost half of the people will jump to the oped class. now the mission slow down the class change it makes u earn the class change.

Class change mission 1

get 500 1v1 battles wins

reward: 1 class change token

class change mission 2

get 250 2v2 battles wins

reward: 1 class change token

class change mission 3

kill 1000 npc which are 5 lvls below u or the same lvl or higher

reward: 1 class change token

Class change mission 4

get 175 juggernaut battle wins

reward: 1 class change token

class change mission 5

do 500 challenge battles

reward: 1 class change token

New class change system

step 1: do 1 of the missions above.
step 2: get token by completing mission.
step 3: pay 50k credits or 900 varium to class change and 1 class change toke to class change.

FAQ

What is class change mission? oh a quest in order to obtain a class change token.
what are class change tokens? 1 class change token allow u 1 class change
Why make a quest when u can just class change with 50k credits/900 varium? ah well u will now need 1 class change token and 50k credits/900 varium to class change.
Does the mission have limits per day/per month? No u can spam if u want and u can save Class change tokens if u want

Now to back up this suggestion. Well this suggestion does not limit u from class changing but it slows u down. we need something to slow people down from instantly hoping into the op class train. this gives the devs time to handle the oped class and we wont see a sudden surge in the op class as it would take time for a normal person to class change. there are 4 different options to cater to the different needs of the every player. low lvls/ players which cant win in 1v1/2v2/ jug due to some reason can always do the npc option mission( takes 10 days or so to complete). well this suggestion also makes it a little interesting to class change plus u feel a sense of achievement after u class change.

FrostWolv -> RE: class change suggestion (1/17/2014 11:25:27)

Supported and it might be better if this mission appears in each month and has duration just like Daily mission. Only thing I do not support is below condition:-

What I dont like:

quote:

Class change mission 4

get 175 juggernaut battle wins

reward: 1 class change token

There are me and many other players who does not do Juggernaut and not even likes to do jaguarnaut. My reason not to do Juggernaut is I dont like to kill low level and make them rage quit this game :P

Mother1 -> RE: class change suggestion (1/17/2014 11:33:33)

This if anything would not slow down those hardcore players I see who can get those wins like it was nothing. This at best would slow down casual players, and even more to players who don't want to use the flavor of the week builds to get wins so while the idea sounds ok I can't support it.

Remorse -> RE: class change suggestion (1/17/2014 22:12:14)

Awesome ideas love it.

Altador987 -> RE: class change suggestion (1/18/2014 1:37:04)

the general idea seems okay but i think the requirements are a bit high i get that a lot of people don't enjoy class hopping but at the same time you can't try to control how other people enjoy the game no matter how "cheap" it may seem

Luna_moonraider -> RE: class change suggestion (1/18/2014 4:43:17)

@ Mother1

true. that is why i m considering to add a mission limiter say u can only do these 4 missions once per month. anyways this game is build in such a way that all hardcore players have an advantage no matter what. all grinding based games are build in such a way. if we only implement class change mission 3( the npc option) we can actually really slow down the class change for all but i think having more missions would better as u wont get bored just smashing npc to get a token to class change.

@FrostWolv

well we need to be fair to all player of all kinds. if we do not make a juggernaut option the juggernauts would be unhappy and they would feel left out.

@Altador987

it is better to have a something to slow it down than nothing at all. it is better to deter and slow down things as much as possible before jumping into a big nerf. this suggestion will slow things down so that we really see if a particular class is oped.

Altador987 -> RE: class change suggestion (1/18/2014 11:17:56)

i know i think the idea will definitely slow hoppers down however i think we should only slow it down not push it to a dramatic halt

dfsfbsdfhbsdfsfd -> RE: class change suggestion (1/26/2014 17:52:57)

This is a good idea but i think they should also do another set of missions twice as much wins to get a free class change without paying. It might make more people play because now they dont have to pay to change. Anyways great idea

Supported

NDB -> RE: class change suggestion (1/26/2014 19:02:27)

Supported, except for mission 5- the challenge one. Not only is it much more difficult than the others, it encourages dummying.

s0u1ja b0y -> RE: class change suggestion (1/26/2014 19:04:04)

So what you're saying is if I'm a new player and create a character, I can't participate in anything if I want to change class? This is idea is only thought of from the point of view of high lvls. What about new people who wanna be a bm or ch and are only like lvl 5?

dfsfbsdfhbsdfsfd -> RE: class change suggestion (1/26/2014 19:17:19)

So true but i think to balance that out it could be a scaling mission

noremako -> RE: class change suggestion (1/26/2014 22:12:00)

Its a fairly good idea, but I think that for players who play hardcore and get thousands of wins per month or even per week will be able to abuse this and, say, after 2 months of gaming, save up at least 20 tokens. In this fashion, they will have an essentially unlimited ability to change class as long as they play as usual. I would recommend setting a maximum of 2 or 3 tokens at a single time, to stop hardcore players from abusing this. Otherwise it would an excellent idea.

s0u1ja b0y -> RE: class change suggestion (1/27/2014 20:43:26)

A scaling mission? So like 5 at lvl 5 and 50 at lvl 30?

dfsfbsdfhbsdfsfd -> RE: class change suggestion (1/27/2014 20:51:46)

yea i could create an equal balance if needed

s0u1ja b0y -> RE: class change suggestion (1/27/2014 21:01:48)

That really is the biggest thing. If that's scaled properly where you could still participate at lower lvls, I fully support

Emperor_Blitz -> RE: class change suggestion (1/29/2014 19:37:32)

Awesome idea and would be fair for other players too

Exploding Penguin -> RE: class change suggestion (1/29/2014 23:41:13)

I would support if you didn't have to pay at the same time, and the change token meant a change for free. I don't have a problem with everyone changing to the supposed OP class at the time because it's their 50k credits/900 varium and they should be able to spend it on whatever they want without restrictions given that it's not an LSQ item.

Stabilis -> RE: class change suggestion (1/30/2014 14:44:47)

This is pretty rough. It needs changing because it looks like it supplies the same battle requirements for players who are at a similar state but act much differently. For example, I might play for 25 battles in a day. Someone else who is my level could be playing for 250 battles in a day. They are 10 times as active as I am, yet we both have to make 500 battles to class change. If I felt like class changing for non-competitive reasons, this token system is treating me pretty lousy.

What I think you should do, is incorporate time requirements with PVP requirements. The more a person class changes within a time frame (say 1 month), the higher the requirements for class changing. Example... I class change to Bounty Hunter to use a simple Smokescreen Strike build. For the next 30 days, I need to have 1000 battles before class changing again. If the 30 days are over, I can class change again, whether or not I made 1000 battles.

Placing static PVP requirements on class changes is just irritating and that is how I would edit this suggestion.
