I don't know if this is possible but me and a couple of buddy's were talking in game one of us brought up what if Epicduel had all severs open each server had a phase.

Devs have already vetoed the idea. It's essentially having FIVE different games running at the same time - and each phase has their own character, no jumping from one phase to another. It's impossible - they have the data, but the cost of upkeeping five different games at the same time is far too big to make it possible.

Games advance, and go forward, not take a step back and go back to previous phases - literally, that is.

Too many compatability issues to revert to other phases, even for phase anniversaries. They'd have to give everybody premade characters.

Though this is a lovely idea, this sadly is incredibly hard to do. As Xendran has explained it has complications with compatibility and Trans also pointed out multiple issues it would cause.

Games such as Minecraft can do this because you start from nothing whenever you join a single player game for the first time or a multiplayer server, it also works because you download the game and it plays off your desktop. Even this has compatibility issues since you cannot play any save files or multiplayer servers that were not created in the version of the game you are playing. This example highlights the sort of thing Xendran said, and hopefully sheds light to you on how hard it would be to do it in EpicDuel considering that each player has a character that loads and saves into the games database and the game is ran off dedicated servers rather than the desktop.

Due to all of this, it just is not possible with the amount of resources, time and effort it would take and because of this I am going to lock this topic up!

Thank you for your suggestion, I hope Trans' and Xendran's posts as well as this post helped explain the implications with this idea and if you have any questions let me know.
