Easy ways to "fix" the imbalance? Its not nerfing a class to death. How about we leave the op classes alone and just buff the other classes???

Bounty Hunter: Buff Mark of Blood to 40%. Increase Static Grenade to 70% energy gain, but reduce its drain by 10 points. Buff Shadow Arts to 40% damage reduction.

Cyber Hunter: Buff Static Charge by making it raw damage once more. Buff Plasma Armor by 20% on all levels. Decrease EMP by 20 EP, but decrease its effects by 10 EP. Buff Shadow Arts to 40%.

Mercenary: Buff intimidate to include ALL damage type. Lower Berzerker cost by 10. Increase maul stun rate by 3% all levels. Buff Adrenaline Rush to grant rage points AND extra damage on rage.

Tactical Mercenary: Buff Mineral Armor to 120%. Increase Frenzy by 10% all levels. Increase Atom Smasher by 3% all levels. Remove Field Commander; give them smoke screen instead.

Tech Mage: Buff Malfunction by -5 technology every level. Remove Assimilation, given Energy Parasite instead. Buff Plasma Bolt by +25 damage. Nerf Overload by 10 damage all levels.

Blood Mage: Buff fireball by 25 damage. Remove Energy Parasite; given Assimilation. Assimilation buffed to be used with sword. Assimilation give 75% EP now. Assimilation buffed by 15EP all levels.

IF A SKILL IS USED BY 2 CLASSES, THEN BOTH CLASSES ARE BUFFED.

ALL CLASSES: Field Medic buffed by improving with support once more. Field Medic improves by +10 HP at 21 support, +10 HP per 8 support afterwards.field Medic WILL be capped at 120% of maxed field Medic, meaning if your maximum field heals 606 before support influences it, it will be capped at 728 health obtained. That's with 109 support on a level 36.

Because buffing everything isn't a solution either. Buff debuffers and you're nerfing defense as the result. Buff damage everywhere, and you're nerfing HP as the result. Buff Shields, and you're nerfing offense as the result (depends how big is the buff).

Balance isn't a joke.

rayniedays56 -> RE: Destroy the Nerf Gun (2/10/2014 9:52:18)

...i wasn't joking. I'm serious. Instead of constant nerds, the evs could spend a while "2 weeks?" working on getting the classes up to par with "op" classes. And I think the skills I buffed have balanced end results with each other

Ranloth -> RE: Destroy the Nerf Gun (2/10/2014 10:01:27)

Buffing everything isn't a solution either. Overbuffing somethings nerfs other skills or stats - example is above. Why did Str/Support builds become OP at the beginning of Omega? Because HP was nerfed - indirect buff to offense. Buff damage and you're nerfing HP, and vice versa.

Buff handful of skills, and you may end up with even more OP combinations. Then you have to buff everyone else again or nerf, and then even more OP builds arise. It's easier to nerf one, and then buff if necessary - and take time doing so. Revamping skills is better for this reason, instead of buff+nerf combos.

buffing more classes to the point they are more or less equal is better than nerfing one out , leaving the others whit the same problems.
its not a problem of what gets done it is a problem on how it gets done.

back on topic, i like most of the suggestion , but i disagree on buffing merc even more, for the rest this threed could rlly help the current state of balance.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Destroy the Nerf Gun (2/10/2014 11:07:03)

Okay. As a BM mark of blood is not all that useful unless you're running a solid strength build where your strikes actually hit. The only reason I'd ever use MoB is if I need to survive and the extra 30-40 HP on casting helps. As for BH, they survive against me quite often with like, 30-100 HP, all thanks to mark of blood. So I really can't support it getting buffed.

I can agree with most of the CH changes save for static charge. It should just go back to the way it was with 2 turn cooldown, but maintain its current energy given. Also make it blockable and rageable again.

No for intimidate. It's underrated but a pretty great skill, especially combined with yeti where you can force your opponent to use strength moves on you when they don't want to. Buffing intimidate to include all damage types is pretty much striking and placing a weaker hybrid armor on yourself in 1v1, and I can't support clone skills. Zerker doesn't need energy reduction, it already hits pretty hard and the last energy reduction it got was good enough. I can kind of agree with maul stun rate, but it's questionable compared to other stuns after the buff. And how about you just strike for less damage or something while gaining the rage with adrenaline rush? I don't think it'll be quite fair if I use adrenaline rush, then crit with max bunker on rage and hit over 500 damage.

I could go on with this list, but I don't really want to.

It's actually easier to balance by nerfing than by buffing everything. It's kind of like how it's easier to control something with wheels when moving it if you drag it instead of pushing it up a hill, but that's a really bad analogy. Anyways, I think you get the idea.

ZamuraiED -> RE: Destroy the Nerf Gun (2/12/2014 16:04:19)

You clearly don't understand some players of epicduel.

'buffing' other classes will just lead people to go to every class.

All classes are pretty equal, I'm free to admit that, people just need to know how to use them to win.

It's simple :)

Mother1 -> RE: Destroy the Nerf Gun (2/12/2014 18:49:34)

@ ZamuraiED

All the classes are not equal in certain area's and to be honest they shouldn't be either. Otherwise they might as well just remove classes altogether.

But on another note, that is just it, the majority of builds that take any kind of thinking most don't use. Meaning if all the classes were as balanced as could be, but only 2 of those classes have simple but effective builds and the others don't people will sooner jump to the simple easy wins rather than the more complex classes which will result in those who like the other classes but can't find the builds to use to complain.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Destroy the Nerf Gun (2/12/2014 19:25:32)

If you're good enough you can beat the less-skilled players with pretty much any class right now. Unfortunately, a lot of the emperors aren't switching from overused builds which is pretty depressing considering that they've already hit the highest echelons of the game and they really have no reason not to switch to another class that isn't used as much.
