How about the developers add a "remodel" button to homes that lets us add rooms, entrances, windows, etcetera to our home? Kind of like the build option in SIMS

Also, to make homes more...meaningful, how about we have a revenue generator on our home that basically builds up credit value (NOT varium) and we can sell the home/"rent it out" for some monetary value? The rent out would be figuratively, of course, but in the rent stage we can't save location to home? The rent would be 1/52nd the home value, since weeks, rather than months, work better in online games?

I like this idea and I can support it. However it's highly unlikely that it can even get coded; since this game is a flash game and adding entrances is like adding new customizable event-handling spaces, you'd essentially have to code a site-making site like those free ones out there. If you mean like furniture that has preset locations then it'd be easier, but still would take some time.

I also really like the interest/revenue thing. But I don't even know why I bought a home, and I've never actually seen the importance of one as I've never gone to parties in other players' homes in my history of playing ED, so my experience is extremely limited. I therefore can't really say much about the renting thing that has any weight to it, but I don't think it's a good idea because it seems quite pointless to me.
