Dual Thrusters -> Favorite Overused Classes of Omega (2/28/2014 19:21:41)

So Omega as we know it is going into "Evolution". Looking back at the past, we sure had a wide variety of overused class ( so ironic LOL).

From the extremely slow IA+Surgical TacMerc to the 3 turn killing TM, we did have a lot of overused builds. We even had a period where everyone was using 5 Focus.

Now the question is, which was your favorite one? Why? Have you ever used any of them?

Were there any you continuously lost to and just couldn't find any counters?

Ok in order

Focus 5 TM but that was only because that was what I used before it had it time of being OP

As for which ones I lost to consistantly

that would be the strength support TM build due to the only way I could win without using it would be the hope that I got first strike. Otherwise unless I got a luck factor I would lose due to their overwhelming offensive power.

5 Focus for variety and stability the time I used it. Now using a Dex Caster TM and loving every second. Proper rips through my enemies [;)]

It was nice to see the Support/Strength Mercs make a comeback at Omega's inception (albeit fairly briefly).

The problem is they have made overused builds/quick kill builds that should have awful win %'s more effective and smart well thought out builds less effective in order to appease the children. A massive blow to ED as it continues to spiral down along with its server number.

Yep. The simpler the build the better. Strategy has been thrown out the window to appease to more people, but the opposite has happened.
