What we need is passive bonuses that increase luck chances. Yeah, that sounds great. It really don't, because some classes wouldn't really benefit from it, or even get penalized; thanks to my class, my Robot is weaker - how great is that? :D Instead, you could think of passive class traits instead, which would work much better. Example: Bounty Hunters are experienced with Poison skills and dealing melee damage, therefore, they have passive Poison resistance; reduces Poison damage by x%. Blood Mages retain their magical nature, which allows them to transfer some of the damage taken into Energy; x% of damage taken is transferred into Energy, y% of the time. Tactical Mercenaries being evolved version of Mercenaries, they are able to siphon some of your opponent's highest stat - on each successful attack* - and add to yourself; x% of opponent's stat is given to you for y turns, the opponent doesn't exactly lose x% of stats. And so on. Perhaps expanding the trait system, and allowing you to change them for a small fee - perhaps buying a trait permanently and able to swap them at any time. Some class exclusive ones (BM-only, TM-only, etc.). (I've thought of this just now, and traits were suggested ages ago but no specific concept) * Attack which wasn't blocked nor deflected, doesn't apply to Robots - just your weapons and skills.
