Cyber Dream -> Remove the individual class balance threads for ED forums (4/19/2014 20:30:46)

We do NOT like this idea at all. It makes things harder to discuss. There is a rapid change in balance topics and we can't properly discuss them due to the fact that different people will be discussing different issues.
We don't want to read through all those fourm replies trying to figure out what certain balance issue is being discussed. I suggest that we remove the individual class balance threads and go back to the old way.

I am not the head moderator of that forum, so it is not my decision. With that being said, the threads in question have been up for over a month but only two have reached page two. The threads are not exactly garnering stupendous amounts of traffic, so I do not see what the problem is. It is not difficult to skim through less than one page of posts.

This idea has been properly discussed and looked into before it was put to practice. The rapid change in balance topics are the exact reason that these threads do their work in a correct manner.
The idea behind this is to organize the forum so that players and staff alike can find what they need more quickly and easy. Instead of having to skim through multiple threads discussing one and the same topic, there is 1 thread for 1 larger topic.
I have seen some rather good discussion in the threads. Discussion about matters that people really are concerned about and not topics that quickly disappear on page 2 of a board.
Past information about classes also doesn't go away while old threads do go away at some point.

All together, the threads serve their purpose and do what they are meant to do. So the threads will not go away any time soon.

And to wrap up the thread, please remember there's a difference between a suggestion and a demand. A well thought out suggestion will always be received better than a demand, even if ultimately it's not acted upon.

As there's nothing left to discuss here, locked.
