The berserker killer -> Let Faction Leaders have a Second in Command (Co-Leader) (5/2/2014 10:53:50)

There are so many factions that have died out, that still have loyal players because the leader has either grown up or does not have enough time to come check on the game and manage a faction every single day. You dev's had said so yourself, that youre busy with studes and schooling or work.

What I suggest is that Faction Leaders should be able to assign Co-Leaders who will have the same power as a faction leader.

Pros- Old Factions will return
-Increase of Competition
-Larger player base

Cons- Co-Leader might "Ruin the faction"


Now, in War Time, is the PERFECT time to do this so that old factions can return. The way I imagine this happening or this feature being installed is that the leader assigns a C0-Leader. And normally a Leader will assign someone he trusts. Please hurry to think about this

I totally agree with this except one part. That is when you said the same power, co leaders shouldn't be able to kick the players, but they should be able to do everything else and they can tag a player with a boot next to their name so they can notify the leader that they think this player should be kicked and it can also help the member know that he needs to step it up. Overall, i totally agree.

Maybe the leader could toggle the option to let the co-leader kick players or not... This is mainly for factions where the leader has quit ED but doesn't mind logging on once every week or two. That way the faction can be managed effectively while he (or she) focuses on their schoolwork or work.

Examples: Control Alt Death, Meganet, Knights of the Round, Death Syndicate X.

I think a way to help improve this idea is Co-Leaders are only allowed to kick players if they're un-active for 7 or more days.
In-order for Co-Leaders to do anything else they need permission from the leader, permissions would last forever, so the leader doesn't
have to keep doing such, except for the 7 day factor.

If something like this were to happen, with the combined Suggestion of my idea, I'd have to say:

Well, SCAR, a member in the fac might abuse this. Let's say the leader is SUPER inactive and rarely comes on, but the co leader is really active. If one member in the fac is really inactive and comes on exactly after 6 days so it doesn't say he is "7 days ago" just so the co leader cant kick him, this is unfair.

Yeah so maybe the option should just be a toggle feature where the leader can choose to give the co-leader availability to kick members or not. I like your idea scar, I think this will better suit the needs of everyone though.

@Samurai_ED: There really isn't a way to abuse this. If somebody plays, they play, if they choose to come on after every 6 days, who
cares? Is it affecting anyone? Of course this may stop possibly better people from joining the faction taking one whole space up. But I just
couldn't see this being abusive, if I have a member that gets on only once a day for one simple win, I don't care, as long as they're active.

My point exactly but just think of what can happen.. Factions will return, competition will return, one of the biggest and best features of this game will be revamped. The only thing Co-Leaders can not do is disband a faction
