Heya.

Lately I've been trying to think about what is the reason that the playerbase lowered. Among other reasons, I thought of that sense of an accomplishment that the player may have had in the previous system.

In other words. I am wondering did you; as a player; felt different accomplishing a set goal (buying a weapon, receiving a rank, etc.) in the previous phases opposed to Omega?

I don't find it as entertaining because the build variety was brought down a huge amount. This is because of

1) All classes lost most unique features in an attempt to "balance" them out by doing things such as giving all of them energy drains/recovery skills
2) Non-strength tactical builds are not much better even when used with superior strategy compared to your opponent's strength build. Strength isn't overpowered, it's just far too rewarding given how simple and easy it is to use, which makes it very common and thus 1v1 becomes extremely monotonous and not much fun
3) Legendary ranks just makes matchmaking unfair after you reach a certain level. More unfair than ever before with the matchmaking.

I also miss how I anticipated pretty much any update with new weapons because they all had unique stat reqs and stat boosts.

In a nutshell Wootz it was omega that brought this.

Omega took away what a lot of people loved about the game while never fixing the problems they started.

Also listening to some very bad suggestions that made balance worse. Passive to active update, as well as adding energy costs to the cores without a way to cover the strain on energy they made is a good example of this.

I still play because of the cheevos that can be gotten as well as a new events and missions. But that is about it.

The game needs a Jenny Jones make over (in other words scrapped and rebuild from the ground up with how everything works from blocks to the power of a strike) in order to work out correctly.

Personally, I believe every single class was over-balanced. Diversity and customization of play made EpicDuel a fun and addicting game. I remember spending time researching and studying elaborate builds, now it seems that the diversity of builds is almost non-existent. I also think that many users, like myself, got bored with the game in general. Once you've consistently been at max level for years, your drive to win is diminished. In my opinion, enhancements (Perhaps more balanced) should be brought back as well the removal of the ability to customize a weapon's stats. Why would I ever buy another weapon when I can cheaply adapt to any build?

I love this game and it's staff, the game and it's community has been a great experience for myself. I think the team should tweak a few things then step back from fidgeting with it :).
