looking at the meter the legion team which l am is almost over. 0 an 3 is legion so far . l hope maybe next TIME when the next war starts that legion will not suffer as bad maybe it will be faster next time.

looking at all the post l still think exile numbs are greater when exile players are playing, which is fine. legion just lost so many players when the new system came , an most of them have and will not come back sorry to say but true. a lot of legion players did jump ship that is fine their choice. the frost land war will be sad for legion, an we do not need a handy cap like maybe the deve said please never give out handy caps .

remb hard to win when you are out numb 5--1 in active players at any given time. well good luck to all on next war. may the best team win. ( exile )

always the syfy

Actually in the first war when I looked at it the legion was on offense and the exile was on Defense. When they were on offense they came closer to winning. Why? Cause if you look at it offense offers more influence power than defense.

With offense you have two attack items that will either start out weak and get stronger as the main target goes on (Delta vault concept like in the infernal war) and then there is the Turrent that starts out strong but gets weaker as it takes damage.

These right here grant extra power for the attackers where as on defense you will always have a fixed ratio of damage no matter what you use. Add this to that handicap and Legion in the first war had a better chance of winning.

Now on the other hand you put exile on Offense with superior numbers as well as items that give extra damage while putting legion on defense with items that give fixed damage and no boost other than the handicap? You got yourself a slaughter right there.

That is what happened each time in a nutshell.

rly wow btw legion lost by over 6mill mother1 so it rly dnt matter. the numb of players playing is the out come. just look bombs do same amount of damage vs each item attacked. no matter if on offense or defense the damage is the same.

this quote from mother1

legion cannot ever win a war vs the numb of players exile has playing vs legion on any ( given time ). this is the point. an plz do not handy cap legion as far as giving us a lead ( could loose more players if that happens )

The only real way to aid the losing team (in my opinion) is to add the shield mechanism. During the Infernal War we saw this shield help the losing team. It would be great to see this added back because I don't think that the numbers in Exile or Legion is fair.

GearzHeadz -> RE: the pain is almost over (5/22/2014 16:21:39)

The shield was suppose to have some defenses in the Dread War... The Exile Leader still says so if you go talk to him.

@ambien

Well it really doesn't matter if there are more Exiles than Legions.

Lets say you have 100 Legions and 500 Exiles on a server, lets use 1v1 as an example and pretend that Exile has a 100% win ratio. All players click the Battle button at the same time. Will Exile be able to get 500 wins right away? Of course not, just because there are 500 of them doesn't mean there will be 500 matches. Since there are only 100 Legions, 400 Exiles will be staring at their screen waiting for a match. With this system, it's pretty much a fair chance for both sides to win.

It's not a matter of who has more players. Factors that influence the victor of this type of war are: Varium Bombs, Communication, and having the most Quick Kill builds. You can see from the leaderboards that Exile factions have more influence. Influence is based on how many bombs you get which is dependent on winning matches for bombs, or buying them with varium.

Don't forget, most players on Legion chose the worst turret to attack first. Of the 3 factors I mentioned that cause a side to win, Legion as an alignment (not aimed at any specific players) has failed all 3 of them.

Correct me if there was something I missed in the DNs about the systems being changed.

ambien -> RE: the pain is almost over (5/22/2014 20:41:51)

btw it does matter how many legion vs exile players. lets say 20 legion and 100 exiles which is about right that play. who goes 1st no big deal, the numb game is in favor on the exiles side.

the reason is the 40th level legion players wait 2--3 times more for games then the 35---40th level exiles players. the % of exile players getting battles is over 85% vs legion 25%
the war does not really matter no more ask players in battle once.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: the pain is almost over (5/22/2014 20:48:02)

@Ambien

It does matter, because they will get influence at the same rate that way. Just look at the influence boards yourself, Exile players generally carry more influence. Remember that the information there is ONLY affected by how many bombs a player has.
