Before: Varium players who put their earned money into the game got special armors or other inventory items and you got to see the difference for those who cared enough for the game to put their own money into the game. While as the non variums strives to be amazing players and were an even match us even though enhancements took over. Varium players were the only ones to create factions which gave a person a stronger chance to build a stronger faction to go for dailies and take over the leader boards. Also, gave a person the ability to decorate their homes unlike the rest. Varium gave people a sense of rarity.

That rarity is gone.

Now: Low level players take all the dailies with their alternative accounts that noone seems to catch. They make factions, get a daily, then disband very quickly. Most things are now being both credits or varium options. Varium players are not buying varium like they used too. Old players are leaving because their sense of rarity is gone. Beta and gamma people are fleeing due to their prized possessions now being everyone else's possessions. Servers are at an all time low sometimes hitting in the 100's. The last time I saw a full server was when Omega Started. Last time I saw two servers full was in Gamma when there was a line between varium and non varium.

Where is the line drawn?

The line is gone. P2W is pretty much gone (excluding 10k weapon packs) and varium advantage is not coming back. Only incentive left to play is for the fun of it. Most old players don't find it fun any longer so have left. Sad :P

Summary:
Omega just devalued over half of the more recent promos, took away pay-2-win, and people are freaking out because they suddenly realized the problem that always existed with the leaderboards: quantity > quality.

IMO taking enhancements away was a great idea and most of the varium advantage, but making essentially every single varium promo available to credit players was a bad idea, as well as devaluing most previous promos that were once varium-only. Essentially a lot of varium players from the past, especially rare collectors, feel like they got cheated big time.

Only thing I see here are varium complainers who were used to auto-win due to varium advantage. Omega is more balanced when it comes to var and non-var. That is the truth.

Yes but the question then is if varium players get no advantage at all over f2p, then why are they going to spend? For a cool hairstyle only they can get? doubtfull.

there was absolutely no need for varium wepapons to be sold for credits, i am taking about just normal weapons with no cores in them. No need for any non var to own a home or a vehicle. This has nothing to do with gameplay but just the cool factor. Bunny aux lol .... I guess this is the end of days.

if this players wanna pay to win, is better them not play epic duel.

made the low lvs situation harder and impossible win the daily will make more harder get new player to the game.

There should be a line. For example, non-variums should be only allowed to do 50 NPCs a day instead of 100.

But that means implementing a membership.

Just saying... If people have no reason other than cosmetic to buy varium... How is the game going to stay afloat? Because I for one am perfectly happy to use a non varium hairstyle and farm npc's for cores that are better than half the varium weapon cores. lol

Artix can stay afloat even if no one buys a single promo for the next 50 years.. but I doubt they will be players in the near future the way its heading ><

You cant release a promo and make it credits only in a month that's just dumb lol

all the past promos needs a slight buff to make them more useful against the new non var phase.

I think they should either bring back enhancements (make it a war achievement the more you enhance ) or make promos not available to non paying orrrrr make cores only varium accessible.

Sure the game is balanced now, kinda, but the whole point of putting your money into a game is to get exclusive things that no one else should be able to get without them putting money into the game. I agree with Latin Lover, everyones leaving and there are only 2 reasons why some are staying.

1) Ranks

2) Faction

Here goes an idea.... if these are the only 2 reasons why people are staying then why not release updates that are relative to these reasons. Simple features, I cannot exaggerate how simple some (not all) of these features must seem, such as:

a) "Rank up" Screen every time you rank up.
b) Rank shops that you can only buy at that rank
c) Faction shops that your faction can unlock based on your Faction Level and Influence. These items disappear from your inventory once you leave the faction.
d) Faction HQ'S that upgrade when your faction levels up
e) Faction All-Time Kill Board, a Personal Faction Leaderboard that tracks the amount of kills that the players in your faction have done
f) A message board that people can pay to have a post that says "*Your Name Here* is looking for a faction! View Character Profile Now"
g) Rank Armors that you can only get at that rank (Here I mean Emperors, Legends, Demi-Gods).
h) Having a Vendbot at your faction HQ
i) Faction window revamp to include 2 more categories. 1) 1v1 Wins today, 2) 2v2 Wins today

I can do the entire alphabet. This is what we need. If Varium Players can't get exclusive gear or the benefits we used to have then at least give us updates that matter. Revontheus' weapon set was nice, sure, Promos are nice too, but truth be told guys I know that you don't care about that. ^^^^ Those are what we care about, as players, at this very moment. Ranks, and Factions.

I once was a big spender and I'm not complaining about losing the pay-to-win varium advantage. I'm more dissatisfied that my previous promos were devalued because they are no longer unique aside from cosmetic looks since a lot of cores like frost shards just cloned frostbite.

To add on to what exploding penguin said I am unhappy with not only that but the fact that they decided to kick rare collectors below the belt when they decided to not only break policy and bring back 3 rare bots cause "They are to tactical to leave rare" when previously promised never to come back, but they didn't even keep the other promise of re-imaging and redesigning the to old rares so that rare collectors could keep their rares and newer players could have the same thing with a different look.

Plus with those 3 bots rarity was removed from each of them so literally devalued them as rares.

Ed hasn t got players who want p2w anymore, they all left, so this isn t even worth discussing.Anyways exploding penguin got a point: quantity>quality.This can easely explain evry problem this game has.It s also what many players miss from old phases, game is better in general now, but quantity>quality brings an odd feeling that makes you bored fast.

Like i've said, if you want people to buy and spend varium:

The items with the best artwork should be varium only.
There should be skin transfers for equipment
There should be an extended armor color palette,
A one-time purchase of an item that lets you respec for free. (Would not be cheap).
Alternate skill animations
Premium Character Page (has more flair to it)
New emotes
Option for robot to follow you outside of battle
Hoverboots in battle (no effect on combat)

while this maybe a great solution the problem would be would it drive players from buying the stuff. Especially those who are used to getting something for the buck besides art. Many players because upset when their promo's were changed from better than the others to just skins (Promo's that only offered more stats without cores) when omega started.

Ed's marketing team is so awesome they don't want us to spend anything.. they release a promo and in less than 30 days they offer it for credits.

Why does anyone ever need to spend var on this game ?

I can just wait .. fight .. and get whatever I want..

Do I need to look cool after they constantly throw rocks at their supporters.. no I dun wanna .. thanks, I can rather donate it for charity or get me some pizza

I myself haven't bought any Varium since the Platinum's Pride promo. For the most part it is because Varium tends to deplete so fast, considering the high costs. Also, lower packages should at least get something like a fully upgraded sidearm or whatnot.

Those companies respect their supporters... Do you see them making something from varium to credits in a month or whenever they feel like it ?

Do you see Company out there who markets a product without testing and then nerfs them..

This isn't a one time deal..

The Azreal gun - NERF ...
The Infernal Interdictor - NERF
The Yeti / frost Destroyer combo .. only reason I got them both .. - Effect is Lost no more frost bite !
Harvest/Bionic/Frost Destroyer Passives .. all NERFed to Actives with no say from our end.
Platinum Special - NERF .. Add some energy to every core good ..
Abyss bot .. NERF>. why just NERF .. Make it for credits !

So basically .. what they have done is .. make every person who ever support them .. think 10 times.. Should I get it .. or wait and see what happens in a few months.. I bet there is a nerf on it ..

I was disappointed when the lion heart weapon special wasn't working as the DN ,, said .. all I got was a sorry .. what do I do with a sorry, I didn't get what I paid for.

About time this game gets into a pay 10$ a year get unlimited credits and var for 1 year .. as a membership.

you messed some others with Promo's that were nerfed but as for the last one, the staff made an official promise that all promo's after the Azreal gun and aux would become available for credits and the black abyss bot is one of those promo's so they didn't do nothing wrong with that one by making it available for credits.

So some come back in a year .. some come back now .. some whenever they feel like it ..

Some miraculously come back like bunny aux and it takes them 10 days to get it down from sale. an aux that costs 2200 var and 25k credits was selling for 300 var lol at lvl 1 ..

Bots return whenever they like cause they too awesome to be left out..

Come on .. this can go on and on and on ........
