Is it just me, or does anyone else find that builds that were once a problem, aren't a problem anymore? Like Dexterity Mages? The reason I created this thread is because I feel that if we just give things a chance and allow the game to develop then the Balance issues will solve themselves. This is a game based on level, so if you're a level 38 complaining about balance you kind of have no standing. What do you guys think? As I rank up, try out different builds that require strategy and allow myself to accept the fact that high str high hp is not the only build in the game, I start to see that this game does require strategy in 1v1 and that there are at least 30 other builds out there I can create that aren't high str high hp. Do you guys find this game to be getting a little bit easier yet more balanced at the same time?

I have to disagree with the level 38 thing having no standing. Remember balance has to happen at all levels not just a certain group. Most level 38's I know quit 1 vs 1 due to the matchmaking that makes them the prime targets of level 40 ranked players. A level 40 with 20-39 ranks versus a level 38 isn't balanced and it is almost near impossible for them to win due to this. Heck now thanks to these ranks even a 40 vs 40 all around isn't balanced. cause one player could have 1 rank while the other has 45. But back on topic while I can agree with that approach to balance (since it has worked before in the past) Most won't due to them wanting what they can't beat nerfed so they can win. With some if that doesn't happen than they will just outright quit.

Sheesh, now I see why balancing is so hard since you said it has to be balanced at all levels. That seems a bit impossible though. There are so many different build varieties that the balance thread has become "The popular build isn't working so let me complain" thread. If we are patient I think this can and will be the best approach. Just wait, and discover new builds.

@ The berserker killer Well while that does work not everyone is patient enough to wait. We lose many players due to them wanting something done because they can't find a way to win with their current build due to the build that would counter them being the flavor build. Back when Strength BM's ran rampant just before the passive to active change is a good example. While many players found new and creative builds to counter this build, others couldn't and wanted change. However the staff was still doing the passive to active change and as a result of this inactivity players thought the staff was doing nothing and quit. this isn't the first time this has happened as well.

To add onto what mother said. We are in a society of instant gratification and that is relatively new with the masses having internet and cell phones everywhere. For some of the younger players, myself included, telling them to wait it out a solution will come that is hard to swallow at times. After playing this game from level 1 to level current cap over and over for 5 years I can say yes just leveling up does kill some of the flavor of the month builds but those that die are quickly replaced by another. Example being Dexterity Mages, they are all the rage from level 1 to level 30 but then they start to die off only to be replaced by a different flavor of mage(that I can't recall because I stopped playing the accounts in that level range).

No matter what .. dex abuse mages are OP and nothing is gonna change that fact !

^ Put up a darn shield. I've never lost to a dex mage and I'm just a regular 5-focus BH.

-rank 10: they always go on strenght, making these builds overpowered -ranks 20 and 30: best place for these are defences, strenght builds are still overpowered .-rank 40: they go on gun, strenght builds are stll overpowered. -rank 50: they go on bot (or aux if your bot isnt useful for strenght builds), strenght builds are still stronger. -rank 60:they go on the aux and here 5 focus build becomes again the strongest option. before level 40 and after rank 60 strenght isn t the strongest build anymore, the real balance problem is between these ranks.Ranks on strenght must be devalued, but once this happens we ll all realize how op a rank 98 can be.... Also, even if I quitted for awhile, it looks like rage now is slower (atleast on str builds), but I can t be sure of this, there s noway to find out numbers.....

Even higher if you can play well. Dex mages are easy. STR with Celtic sword can beat them almost all the time. And all the poison class builds. And 5 focus BHs. And sometimes the Parasite BMs. If you can't find a counter with your current build don't complain and maybe change your build? Unless you are around 1000 hp or lower with bad energy control build, Dex mages can be beaten almost all the time.

^^^ My thoughts exactly. Just throw on a shield and, true, I am the type of blood mage you just described however our shields increase with support. So just increase your support. I used to believe they were unbeatable 99% of the time until I thought of just throwing on some support and stop following the trendy builds that are now getting beaten so badly that they wont be trending anymore.

Yes dex mages are easily countered. But at low levels they steamroll over almost everything. Trust me, I have a low level mage and have a ridiculous win % with it. like 85% in 2v2 and 75% in 1v1. At low levels the problem is yea you can throw up energy shield. However they just wait till it fades and then hit you, or worse, they go first stun and inflict 650-800 damage in 2 turns. This is devastating at low levels and a 2 hit ko half the time. The problem isn't at higher levels. above level 25 yes they are easily countered, but the first 24 levels they are not.

Basically what Mother1 said, its very irritating bumping into the same rank 19+ person over and over getting womped with a very lucky block or 2 being the only chance I got of winning. Edit: did I just bump a week old thread? Ops.

Now facing rank 19ish players are normal lol. I am glad if I fight rank 20 or below since I have a semi chance to win. Most of the hardcore players have reached around 50ish (60 is max for the rank benefits). Comicalbiker has already gone past the level cap (He was 101 last time I saw him) so I wonder what is next. Oh well...doubt the devs will do anything about this since they have not said anything on improvement or so. I am rank 7 so its not impossible for me to beat rank 20s (rank 50ish are hard), but I feel bad for the level 38 and 39 players since they have to fight these hardcore players with little chance to win.

I see what you mean scarlet. They really do own lower levels and its a shame, its not difficult to keep up with lower levels on lb but it just sucks really.

@beserk Being a low level period lets you own everyone you fight.
