Vector -> Quietube link question (6/24/2014 14:20:35)

this is just to clarify something, but i'll try to explain it:

quietube was basically intended as a workaround for those who still want to use youtube links without risking any potentially undesirable comments. Naturally, the videos themselves also must be more-or-less family-friendly. this is where i want to make sure: a video i intend to use quietube is just a soundtrack -- or more accurately, ambience -- which features a title screen of a game and the track has a bit of a dark theme, but comes from the same game that was made in the mid 90s. My real point of concern is that said game... is m-rated. is the fact that the soundtrack anything coming from an m-rated game an instant no-no or should i wait until somebody asks for the link before i do anything?

Skurge -> RE: Quietube link question (6/25/2014 13:18:02)

In this case, a quietube link will suffice.

As long as the material itself is not directly related to a mature audience (e.g: language, nudity, violence, etc.), it's fine for the forums.

and here i was fully ready to send a link in case said material "needed further review." still, some of the pitures some videos use as placeholders for various music (be it screencaps from the media in question, or in my case a generic title screen) might not be as ambiguous as the real deal and that's where i hesitated; better safe than sorry.

either way: question answered, worries disapoofed, time to move on. much obliged, skurge.
