So really it wasn't a war rally bug but basically server lag and a graphical bug?

Ranloth -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 8:15:26)

No, it was a Rally. They were losing at the time, whilst Legion was winning - it was just a graphical bug not counting the score properly for the Legion.

@dfo99 Are you asking how is this close of a match possible when the Exiles have won the past wars? If so then thank the new war system because Legion has to work for a prize instead of going, "I can get 150 and hope someone else carries my weight."

If that isn't your question then I have no clue what you are trying to say

dfo99 -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 11:34:32)

Now, as it is possible to know if the exiles won the war honestly?

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 11:36:20)

@Angel

He's asking how we can know whether a side's war meter truly reflects the points they deserve in subsequent wars, given the huge bug this time.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 11:40:40)

dfo99 you would be correct to be skeptical on that because Legion has destroyed war objectives in the past but given the war rally system functioned correctly the entire time giving Exile war rallies when they had less points I would say Exile won each war fairly with more points. If they had less points they would have been getting the war rallies and not legion

dfo99 -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 11:52:04)

the fact that both are alignments with a low difference between them is the least strange, not because exiles are not winning, but due to the large number of influence of players and even then the total of both are very near.

GearzHeadz -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 18:48:35)

I have only gotten drops in 2v2. I've just played some 1v1 and out of my 11 wins, not a single drop. Out of my 4 2v2, I've had 3 drops. Are the bomb drop rates higher in 2v2?

Bagofbricks -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 19:17:56)

So after watching the war meter a lot of yesterday and a lot of today something seems very fishy to me.
Every minute or so the war fluctuates from an exile 1-2k lead, to a near tie, then a legion 1-2k lead, then back to tie, then back to 1-2k exile, and the loop continues. On top of this, the overall all leaderboards for the war show the top players of exile blowing legion top players out of the water. The daily influence is the same case, with the top exile player of the day having more influence than the entire top 10 legion, yet somehow the stats are staying dead even all day with the same pattern of taking and losing leads. Even more, I've sat by the objectives some and watched the pop ups of who's doing what, and 75% or more of them are exile war hits and not legion, yet still the war meter stays dead even. Something is off here in my opinion. As I've previously stated, i don't care if exile loses, but this war just reads all kinds of fake to me

suboto -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 21:10:52)

well exile wins but still think extra damage was done to this craft via caused by lag. plus exile was ahead when they got rally

Bagofbricks -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 21:51:47)

Exile war rally got exile an ~50k lead, and now like 15 min after its ended the lead is down to 7k. Which doesnt make sense since the scores have stayed completely even over the past two days. More evidence that this war is a big fake setup. But whatever. got my 5k influence now so 10k credits and 10 tokens will be mine [:D]

avincentaa -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 22:08:58)

^ Clearly there's some anomaly with the war. As aforementioned, the rate and amount the influence produced/done by the exiles is clearly way over the capability of the legion side considering the data observed in the influence leaderboard. It is not impossible though the rate at which the legion are putting up with the damage procured by the exiles is a bit exaggerated. Such produce may be done by the legion if they were profusely greater in number and steadily introducing a stable amount of influence; about 2000 or so.

Considering the about 30,000 lead of the exiles that i have seen earlier, the possibilities to be able to even the lead out at about 10-20 minutes is immensely odd.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 22:21:32)

Now is the true test of activity because we are down to the finisher objective which out damages the sabotage kit

Mother1 -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/1/2014 23:36:30)

@ OWA

war rallies will be your ace in the whole. Remember war Rallies will out damage the finisher with the boost they give. however, the problem is they come at random.

We set out to look for any issues in how War Rally was determined, how it was displayed, or any other problems that might exist with the system. After some time, we were completely unable to find any problems. We simulated Rallies on our dev environment and every time it looked to be working as intended. What was going on?

Finally, while looking through the database for issues, we found something clearly off. One of the objectives had taken *significantly* more damage than possible.

When debugging and testing for errors via simulations and other methods, wouldn't it be best to look at all your variables first? Well, I don't know how the programming is structured but I just think it's a lot easier to skim your database values before you start doing simulations.

I haven't gotten on ED in quite a bit, but from what I'm reading it looks like legion is tying with exile at this point? Seems a bit strange but neat I guess that there's more of an unknown conclusion.

Mother1 -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/2/2014 0:47:57)

@ exploding penguin

well the losing side gets prizes for their hard work unlike before where they would have to pay varium for the prize. Plus the influence needed for the top prize is 5K instead of .15K which makes a world of difference.

But at the same time making the war chest only available to the winning side who reached the top rank is a bitter pill to swallow especially with the decreased war drop rate.

kosmo -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/2/2014 3:50:02)

Is drop rate increased on war rally?
Did legion get the missiong points in their personal war scores?

Variation -> RE: June 30th, 2014 - War Rally and Scoring Bug (7/2/2014 5:24:15)

^Yes it's increased.
