DeathGuard -> RE: 2 New mission chains (7/20/2014 23:04:41)

I will start with an introduction of how mission chains are done. Every mission chain has a goal: To entertain the player by reading an introduction text to the mission, giving him an objective to complete and then the player reads the mission end text to know how the mission result was. There is an important element to mission chains: The coherence of the flow of the missions must follow some sort of plot. quote:
e.g. Mission Chain starts by recollecting sources to build a cannon throughout the whole mission chain and in the end, probably in the last 2 missions, you would have to beat the Final Boss and then in the last mission you would activate the cannon you built to destroy completely the Final Boss that was a danger to Delta V. This is an example of an idea I wrote for a mission chain so please refrain from copying it but there's nothing wrong to take it as a reference but be sure to give me credits. Just joking. Try different ideas on the themes on mission chains as it gives variety and uniqueness entertains players. You could also rework your mission chain layout and make it more organized since I actually felt lazy to read the missions you wrote when I first saw them e.g. tl;dr. You could use a similar layout: quote:
Mission Chain Name: Mission Number: Mission Name: NPC (the one who has the mission): Introduction Text: Item Required: (This should contain a clear description of what the mission requires to be completed e.g. some sort of lost iron tube, a missile ammo, etc.) Also this could be either PvP Wins as in general, in specific as 1 vs 1 wins, 2 vs 2 wins or challenges. Mission End Text: Reward: (They could be either Credits, Arcade Tokens, Items, Achievements or Weapons/Armors(Usually given on the conclusion of the mission) One of my advices, try to make mission text longer and try to give the player a nice read so he can follow the flow of the story while doing the missions and don't exaggerate the rewards or the ratings of the achievement being awarded. Hopefully my post will help you further to improve. P.D: Be careful of your grammar! If you write with the correct grammatical rules, your mission chains will be more pleasant to read so try your best in that aspect. ~Hatred Cuirass Guest Artist of ED
