Well i think this is a nice way to reduce strength spamming as well as giving focus a boost, not much but a little kinda...
So here is my suggestion,

As the focus increases from level 1 focus to level 5 focus, chances of dodge increase.

Now what is dodge, DODGE - Like the concept of block, dodge increases with focus, more the focus more the dodge maybe %age - wise, what dodge does is exactly the same as block but only occurs when the enemy uses ranged weapon, robot(depends on the robot). So for example there are 2 people A and B, where A is using strength build while B is 5 focus, then according to the %age of dodge, the person A uses his gun, then there maybe chances of B dodging the gun i.e 30 damage taken, exactly like block.

Now this is totally different from the concept of how deflection works, moreover dodge increases with focus, like focused ninjas, rogues can dodge ranged weapons etc,

roughly somewhat like this :-

Lvl 1 focus - 1% chance of dodge
Lvl 2 focus - 3% chances of dodge
Lvl 3 focus - 5% chances of dodge
Lvl 4 focus - 7% chances of dodge
Lvl 5 focus - 9% chances of dodge

maybe reduce or increase based on peoples thoughts, comments plz [:)]

Not supported,

I will say it again, buffing focus to be in par with STR will be detrimental to future balance of the game.

Focus builds have been just as overpowered as STR is currently.

We should be focusing on ways for ALL builds to counter STR not for one build to get an advantage.


Please stop trying to turn this game into a two build game, STR and focus. (directed at everybody keeps making these suggestions.)



Also countering with unreliable luck is also a bad way to do it,

Is it really a counter if you have a small potential to win with luck?
No..

I'd rather it didn't become more luck based.

This game is really str where str is divided between moderate with high dex for mages str for tacts str for bms bhs mercs ch , str high for again same classes, str mixed with dex tech no focus,
next focus , focus tank tacts, bhs , mercs, tms,chs and mixture of both focus and str mostly high ranks, if you see anything apart from this except dex builds and chs support str build, then submit a photo,
i suggested this on basis of focus, since people either focus or go str abuse, apart from the dex abusers, nothing is there atm, balance it either this way and give time to get more of focused builds, or go chaos, i dont think anyone loves making losing builds, well according to me focus gets torn apart way more easily as to counter those str abusers, apart from the ones who got high ranks to boost their defense ever further the limits.

and its on a %age basis how can you justify that it depends on luck?

^ Just because things now are either STR or focus does not mean that it should be like that.


If it has a % chance of occurring regardless of age, it's luck.

btw that %age means percent-age or percentage as a whole not luck counting likewise with age, makes me laugh.[:D]

Please explain it in more depth then if you think it is not, because I'm interpreting it wrong or maybe it is actually luck.

Well look, I havnt decided the %age of dodge depending on focus, but for explaining lets consider for eg, if someone goes 5 focus, then he will have 9% chances of dodge,
i.e 9/100 (we all know that [;)] )
so it means 9/100 chances of dodging and 91/100 not dodging, if something have been allotted a set of numbers to represent it to either happen or not, then it does not depend on luck,

but yes if there is no set of numbers allotted for dodging ranged moves , then it "may" depend on luck.

And in this quote, i just dint mention the %age or amount of rate of dodge, maybe not randomly pick out statements and judge them, instead read whole thing n then maybe analyze, but yes I like you stamina points system.

^ Sorry man,

I did read the whole thing, I got the quote of that part because this was the bit that confused me because it contradicted what you were saying with the age thing.


Also allocating a number for chance of something to happen, believe it or not is luck.

That's how it works, that's why you can increase and decreases the chance with stats etc, because the number allocated to it changes.

Basically a rule of them, for this game, if something is not certain to happen then it is luck.


I am not sure if I still don't understand your explanation or maybe we both have different opinions on the word, luck.

what you are suggesting is not different that the ninja reflexes core and the old shadow arts. Both of which are/were luck based. Not to mention this advantage only goes towards focus builds which will cause a strike increase of focus builds.
