even at high levels, its still near half health, but the main thing is it bypasses all protections, including that neutral counter attack thing.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/27/2014 16:38:31)

Anyway, Volt Engineer can do 2000 piercing damage with supercharged, and still does everything else better except it has one less shield.

Vestrova -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/27/2014 16:41:26)

ah? wel whatever, i have both, so its not like it really matters to me xD that frost dragon is proving to be elusive tho...

aleony -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/27/2014 17:01:57)

Except volt has 2 piercing attacks in a deck of 15 cards where as dwakel has 4 piercing attacks out of 15 which means that dwakel is going to be getting piercing much more often overall.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/27/2014 17:03:32)

Yeah, but 100 piercing doesn't do much, even with charged cards and a surge. And again, I don't find piercing useful. It only means anything when it is used to kill the opponent, otherwise you're probably going to just have to end up breaking through the shields with regular attacks anyway and you just wasted more energy on pierces.

aleony -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/27/2014 17:27:31)

I find that most ice champion I fight I kill them with 1000 to 2000 shield left. If you use piercing right it saves you a lot of damage.

EDIT: someone just told me that if you use a CC card in battle it goes away until the next fight as in you can only use the CC card once per battle. is that true? because if so then you could just get a neutral 4 energy 5 attack card and put it on every none neutral character and because it will only show up once, it's a free attack.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/27/2014 18:21:08)

@Aleony No. Whenever you use all the cards you have somehow(Deleting them or using them), they'll start to repeat. So if you have 4 damage 3 defense one special and one CC, when you use 3 damage 3 defense the special and the CC the other 4 cards in hand will repeat from them.

elite dark slayer -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 5:20:33)

I vote time gent. Volt engineer is good, but its average damage output is lower than time gent's. As for dwakel, its deck is good for an apprentice but... well.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 5:28:21)

Is it really? Time Gentleman does the same amount of damage for an extra cost and has more 200 attacks. I've tried them all, and Volt Engineer seems to be the best between the 3. Plus I almost always have the problem of getting too much energy with Time Gentleman, since he has two energizes; I get them when I can't use them or don't need them and they just take up space, making my energy hit the cap.

aleony -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 6:12:33)

Yeah Time Gentlemen is nice too, but I prefer Dwakel still. One of my big problems is that with Volt Engineer you spend 20 energy and do 3k damage. Well good for you, but now you only get 10 energy on when you get your cards so you can't still do that. Dwakel isn't like that. If anything he has left over energy which is why I usually only charge till 14 with him. Energy problems never come up so I end up doing 1.5-2.5k damage and then getting cards and then another 1.5-2.5k damage and that just repeats where as with Volt I find sometimes I need to draw cards and then charge for energy for one more turn. Either way I think all are great choices overall even if we can't decide which is best. Each to their own I suppose.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 6:15:37)

Volt Engineer has electric arc, so it can do a good amount of damage for a low cost, and it also has energize so it can quickly recover from high energy costs. 1 energize is useful, but 2 energizes are liabilities in such a small deck since they don't come in handy most of the time. I think Dwakel can be useful and you have done well with it, but that doesn't mean it's the best energy character by far. I've beaten a lot of people with a CC'd Peasant, but I would never claim it's the best neutral character.

aleony -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 6:32:06)

Energize still means your wasting two cards to get energy. It's just a faster way of charging, but you still effectively lose most the turn as there isn't a lot of damage of great damage you could do with three cards. However I still think that part of the game is that there is no "best" character in any energy simply because there are so many advantages and disadvantages to all characters. Some might work better in some scenarios and some work better in others. It's like arguing for the best neutral character where some say its Dire Monk and others say its Taro.

ChaosRipjaw -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 12:06:48)

Heh heh, since they have advantages and disadvantages, that's why there should be character switching . . . in the far off future [:(]

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 12:52:36)

Oh, you mean in the same battle? That could be very overpowered, since you could do things like add 6 DoTs, then switch to an ice character to freeze the opponent. Plus you can't really prepare for the next turn since you don't know whether your attack will hit the character you're currently facing.

ChaosRipjaw -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 13:04:15)

The test video of Nulgath vs the "good guys" had character switching. Not sure how it works though :P
Yeah, but if you can switch characters, so can your opponent. So would the DoTized character lose all the DoTs when it goes to the "bench?" xD

Heh heh, earthquake looks pretty cool when the enemy has 1000 shields up especially on the nomads and apprentices xD

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 13:50:20)

NO ONE GOT TIME FOR ALL THAT. lol Imagine dueling all level 20 in a switch duel with the lag we already have it would take forever ^2.

Just do 2 vs 2 duels like ED.

DarkLore -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 15:39:53)

Happy birthday to me today guys![:)] I am stoked for whatever character is picked to be released tomorrow!

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 15:47:54)

Happy B-day again! xD

the warden -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 16:35:16)

happy bday darklore:)

Vestrova -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 17:00:49)

i'd like to be able to talk to the opponent during battles

aleony -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 17:21:27)

Yeah games can take a while and having an opportunity to talk would be great. Maybe we could press a button and a chat pops up which we could use to chat with each other. Would be really fun.

Oh and happy birthday DarkLore :D

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 17:57:09)

More important things should come to OS before that though.

In other news ED just got a huge new update.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 149 - Read the first post! (8/28/2014 19:53:00)

Happy birthday, DarkLore. May all your schemes be successful and your souls be plentiful.
