Why are there no polls? Balancing would be way easier if there was an open way of asking people what they think of the subject.

When a certain class becomes more powerful than other classes, its population increases. Bias answers then fills the poll resulting in not-so-fair results.

O.k so all polls would be filled with biased people who don't care for fairness?

Ranloth -> RE: Polls (8/15/2014 6:15:19)

Forum is for detailed feedback, not in-game polls.

"Do you think CHs are overpowered?"
Those who lose to high EP ones say yes, CHs themselves say no. What to do with that? Nerf the entire class, or leave it? Balance polls will not be done, at all. It's already subjective enough and requires data as well as constructive feedback - not a simple poll. Majority vote doesn't count here because it doesn't contribute to anything, in terms of what needs changing.
And no, balancing would not be easier. It would be the same, or even worse if people complained about how their vote was wasted. New Balancers will take care of balance soon enough, and constructive feedback will be looked at also, not complaints or simple polls that don't contribute to the balance, at all.

Exactly this.

Satafou -> RE: Polls (8/15/2014 14:46:15)

Polls is a very bad idea and should never ever be implemented. 95% of players either aren't experienced enough or just simply don't understand what the outcome would be.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Polls (8/17/2014 1:22:27)

I think polls are mostly for non-balance related issues, like "Who's your favorite Epicduel staff member?" or questions like those. Balance-related issues are far better discussed in-depth on the forums (or I guess through twitter because IIRC the devs explicitly stated that they check twitter more often).
