I agree with your page's title, However luck factors are required and actually aren't the underlying issue here. The problem is small variety, mainly due to classes being way too similar. Another issue is lack of counters, Basically because counters are very few for the small amount of variety actually usable, means that their is not many smart decisions, or outplay, or out think, or predicting, or any of these things because of the small variety decisions are relatively set which means if their is little choice in what to do, their will be one overpowering factor that determines who wins: Luck. Give players variety and much more counter-play, luck will still play a part but skill and out smarting the opponent could apply much more potently making for much more enjoyable game-play
