The berserker killer -> +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/14/2014 12:00:33)

We don't have a lot of cores in this game and the cores that we do have disappear. What I am suggesting is to lower the cost of the +6 cores to 1000 and to just allow us to keep our cores if we were to remove them from a weapon.

Now you can make the argument that ED is trying to be more lenient with credits by adding more missions but its too late. 2 new 5 mission chains a week isn't gonna cut it. Just hold off on missions and release 20 new chains at once rather than 2 every 3 weeks.

Ranloth -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/14/2014 12:49:55)

They get more power for being temporary, and you have other permanent cores. Price is right and should remain as it is. Want cheaper? Lower the power. After all, power comes at a price.

Also, no. 20 Mission chains? We don't have the time to write up this many Missions in the first place, nor would delay releases for just that. You're meant to PvP or NPC for Credits, not gain them solely from Missions. And random story won't cut either, because Missions serve as quests and are to be focused on the storyline.

So you're gonna blatantly make a comment like that while ignoring the fact that its a game where missions do exist and a ton of things are overpriced? And "we"? Lol okay then. No offense meant.

@killer "We" is Trans and I. We have real lives outside of epicduel and writing up 20 mission chains at five missions a piece well you are asking us to write 100 missions.

Now beyond writing those 100 missions you are asking the testers to play all 100 missions to make sure they can actually be completed. Trans and I will write these 100 missions or twenty chains, whichever you prefer to say, over time but to save ourselves and the testers we will write them and release them steadily. Plus these is the matter of missions only get in-game when they are needed. I hate to say this but we are actually telling a story with every mission whether you read them or not and writing up that many stories will just be twenty different stories happening at once instead of writing them slowly and making it tell a much larger story.

Now that my writing tangent is over as for the stat boost cores I couldn't tell you why they work the way they do I can just say that I don't use them but if I were to guess the price is set the way it is so you can't run through one just to buy another and thus have an infinite stat boost

@ One Winged Angel 1357

I would gladly like to help you with the story lines though, I have soon ideas if you would like in private, maybe we meet and decide or something you people hold a contest to find a suitable "person to work under/with you ", since I would greatly like to contribute in these "individual" story lines of the NPC's.

Ranloth -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/15/2014 3:13:45)

You may read the Storyline outline first, found in one of the stickied threads in Q&A and suggest some story of your own, here, in this Forum section. The contest idea is also on hold, due to different priorities, and there hasn't been a confirmation yet either - just so you know.

So yeah, best bet is to suggest these here. We'll be looking at these over time, and see who's suitable in our opinion - there's plenty of requirements from the Devs too, Char tweeted them for Artists but same concept applies for Writers too.
Few requirements include being able to work as a team, obviously friendly, able to put at least 5-10hrs each week to stay in touch with the Team + your own writing time, which could be even during weekends, meeting the deadlines, and able to follow the rules - ones on Forum, in-game and the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Lastly, it'd be also a subject to the Devs wanting more writers, and whether they'd make a good candidates for it too.

Otherwise, we will just be looking at the Suggestions here. Just post them and we may reply with feedback and how to improve. We'll be on the lookout, but ultimately, it's not up to us to decide who gets to join the Guest Team.

FameFortune -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/15/2014 5:58:57)

I would test 100 quests.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/15/2014 8:40:26)

@Fame The simple response to that is you need to want for a design note to come along and have teh developers ask for more testers then go through the application process. Also testing the missions would yield you no rewards on the live servers so you would have to play all of them again

The berserker killer -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/15/2014 9:01:34)

thanks for clearing that up. but all im saying is that for a game where the average person gets roughly 25k creds per level up a lot of the weapons seem to be overpriced. 6k for cores, nearly 20k for a new weapon. missions are the only things that actually help other than boosteers and sure, you don't have to release 100 at once. but just release a bundle of them at once. whatever missions you're gonna release just test them and save them then release them all at once otherwise my argument still stands that these cores are still over priced

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/15/2014 9:34:38)

@Killer releasing more missions doesn't fix the economy. After you do those missions and spend all that money how do you get money if there is a balance change and your core setup isn't the right now or you change from a class specific to a sword because it now works better for your build or last years OP promo comes out and because it is still OP you want to buy it while you can?

The price of existing on Delta V has gone up but the amount of credits we earn per fight is still just as low so the real fix here is to make things cheaper but not too cheap or to increase our credit gain per fight

Mother1 -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/15/2014 9:36:53)

@ The berserker killer

that is because every that comes in is or will come in was originally planned to be available to all. By losing a ton of Varium exclusive items as well as taking away the power it once gave they in turn make it less attractive to users. Plus with Varium sells being their only income they had to do something to keep sells going otherwise there would be no game.

The only thing varium is now good for is a time saver so in order to make it one all credits prices had to go up. Case if they made the game cheap why would people buy it? Promo's unless they are phase promo's are no longer exclusive seeing as they will come into the game for all so there isn't promo's, Varium no longer offers power like it used to so that is out, so that is all that was left.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/15/2014 13:44:14)

If it's overpriced then why even bother with the core? Other permanent passives cores can be amazingly useful and can win you fights (like that sudden lucky block from ninja reflexes that turns into a game-changer or an unexpected crit which killed your opponent right before you're going to lose).

slumbering insomniac -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/16/2014 9:49:42)

you have a point though, i think cores should be kept after removal rather than disappearing

The berserker killer -> RE: +6 cores cost too much and cores shouldnt disappear after first removal (8/16/2014 15:53:33)

....If you guys only argument is that everything is overpriced because ED is trying to make a profit for people to buy varium then I seriously don't want any part of forums anymore. Let them worry about them making a profit and just give an honest opinion of an idea because you think it might be fun or that its morally right. I'm not asking you guys to be Mods, act like a player.
