1. Without CC's Taro isn't all that great but with 2-3 copies each of Iron Hide and Corruption CC's he can be one of the most dangerous characters in the game. If you don't want to spend the 12 SG's then Shaolin Monk is a very good free alternative with a similar deck. 2. It depends on whether you're looking for speed to level faster against AI opponents or for competitive CC's for PvP but I'll give my opinions on both for each. Hanzo: PvP: Neutral-525 x1, Poisons x2, Defend x2. The extra shields complement Hanzo's Void Reflection to help ensure you can get set up and pull off Corruption, the Poisons are good for efficient damage, and the Neutral-525 is a free attack that you can probably involve in at least a 3-hit combo. PvE: Hanzo starts with 10 attack cards which are great for stringing combos together. 1 Neutral-525 and 4 Blood Rages help mow down enemies with swift and efficient attacks while you don't have to worry about Blood Rage's HP cost nearly as much against AI opponents. Frost Dragon: PvP: Shatter x3, Empower x1, Ice Wall x1 (Lots of Shatters so you can draw the amount you need as soon as possible, Empower saves energy and makes Bash or Thrash more efficient than Shatter (you could even try a second copy but with 6 attacks they might not both always be able to work with the rest of your hand, the discard can be mildly inconvenient, and you'd have to replace another CC). You don't need to worry about defence as much since Frost Dragon comes with 3500, but an extra Ice Wall makes sure you have defence when you need it to back up your Shatters or just survive. Most Ice characters won't use many CC's so they can draw Freeze faster and more frequently, but unfortunately Frost Dragon doesn't have Freeze. Duels involving Ice characters tend to last multiple deck cycles because of all the defence, so Neutral-525 loses value as you can't use it a second time. PvE: Shatter x3, Empower x1, Neutral-525 (Similar, but no need to worry about defence or duels lasting multiple deck cycles so Neutral-525 becomes great again. Great Pumpking: PvP: Neutral-525 x1, Corruption x1, Stone Wall x2 (Stone Walls to help set up Corruption, an empty slot to help draw Neutralize and Petrifies when you need them, and Corruption so you have the option of heaping on more damage in addition to the Earthquakes GPK comes with that should be enough to convert your Earth energy efficiently in addition to the defences and timely Petrifies. PvE: Neutral-525, 4 Earthquakes. Earthquake is the most efficient instant damage spell and in numbers makes quick work of AI opponents. 3. Cosoma Titan starts with both 4000 total defence (3 Ice Walls, 2 Defends) and 3 copies of Shatter. These are Ice's most efficient cards (they give the most for their energy cost) and they complement each other nicely because its strong defence helps stall to ensure that Shatter will connect. Its copy of Freeze is also important for accelerating Shatters and getting to your next hand. Certain ice characters without Freeze such as Frost Dragon lose a potentially brilliant strategic resource. 4. For me it's the spot at the Undead Dungeon as the opponents there have less defences than opponents in the other labyrinths, especially the Earth one where Stone Walls are common. 5. This is true of the DoT from 3-hit combos as well, they have a certain chance to activate but don't necessarily. The inconsistency is intentional and not a bug, but can be frustrating at times and involve a bit of a luck margin that is out of players' control.
