Either lower the base damage of both of these skills or make them deflectable, i mean they are 100% reliant on a positive outcome. No negatives at all. Just extremely high damage crits or normal damage.
Ignore 20% of base armor/resistance and 25% crit chance. Whoop dee doo. Now make it deflectable so people can't spam the skill for positive-only outcomes. This will create variety because the only builds currently being used are these cannon bashing 5-focus builds and str builds, hopefully this change motivates people to use other builds based on other stats.
Also make Field Medic increase with support because it is the only skill that is used for 5-focus or else its usually at 18 or something so str abusers can't benefit from high damage every round and still heal same amount as a someone with support-based build. This will benefit balance in two ways: It will increase the use of the support stat and make strength builds less dominating and overpowered/overused.
Balance and build variety are terrible. Fix plox.

Those are armor piercing moves so it makes sense they ignore defenses and have a higher chance to crit than any other move.

Also if we follow that logic we would need to make every move that isn't affected by luck factors affected by them seeing as except for melee moves every move is 100% without fail as long as you have the energy to use them.

Positive Outcome, but costs lots of energy, and ignoring defense? not at all , even at 92+ 25 tech, my lvl 6 plasma cannon does is 611 damage, and since people at least have 300 + resistance, outcome is literally 300 with a whooping 240 energy lost, on the contrary if you see a str abuser, you may notice that 300 damage is done by a level 1 bludegon, which costs only 100 energy. And seeing that a str build has nice dex or at least more than a f5, you can see why the plasma cannon and bunker buster has those add ons.

I veto the reduction in power of those armor-piercing moves because it is the core essence that allows Blood Mages/Mercenaries to diverge away from Strength builds. Mercenaries and Blood Mages are alike in that they possess potent strength prowess, which already puts other stats at a disadvantage. Plasma Cannon allows Tech builds to flourish and be able to compete with Strength builds so that they don't dominate the 1v1/2v2 playing field.

Support is already abused enough in builds where people rely on a lot of health, combat initiative, their auxiliary, and Artillery Strike. If they could also heal more it could get unbalanced, depending on the amount.
