What said above is true and should answer your question, liy010. I do want the gifts will be as personal as possible and keeping the event art oriented. Of course, the gift doesn't have to be a professional painting, any drawing (or story, or anything else) will suffice.

You don't have to be good to participate.
I'm not great at hand-drawing myself, but there are plenty of tutorials on how to use GIMP to create things like forum signatures which look relatively nice.

Yeah I'm joining then. I always wanted to learn how to draw, now's a good a time as any. I will use Youtube, ehow, etc. to help me out.

I hope we get some time to finish up the piece since I'm in the middle of my exams at the moment. [:D]

Still thinking about drawing something by hand or writing a piece..

Quick question Pyro: If we do a song, does it have to be ourown original work, or can I sing a cover of a classic christmas song? I was just wondering because many people on youtube do covers, and was wondering if it counted. Obviously, I can't go and outright plagarize someone else's work. But if I'm short on time or don't know the person really well, could I just sing "The Christmas Song" (Commonly known as Chestnuts Roasting over an Open Fire) or would I be obliged to write my own christmas song?
I can always just make something in GIMP, but I'm better at singing than drawing, so I was wondering if I could do that instead.

A cover is fine, especially if it is a classic song which is commonly known. Personally, I definitely prefer to see artists use more and more diverse mediums, so knowing you'll sing a song makes me very excited!
