Peachii -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/4/2015 4:41:26)

I purchased the founder package and unlocked 11 of the dragons, with the remaining 50 keys used to unlock Dagron by getting 1T gems for each dragon. Did so for less than a week. Yes I agree it'd be more difficult without making any sort of payments, as it takes around 60 days to unlock Dagron by watching ads only. I suggest watching the ads everyday, unlock some dragons first and earn 1T gems to get the keys. You could use 1T gems to unlock 10, 15 (the 11 dragons) or 20 (Dagron only) keys. For example, Fluffy gives 15 keys by exchanging 1T gems if I'm not wrong, instead of 10 for some of them.

Eddmario - As you've mentioned, those 2 are the only method to get the dragon keys without payment as of now.

Q. How do I get Dragon Keys?
There are several ways to obtain Dragon Keys:

  • Each adult dragon has a Dragon Key Upgrade. Once you unlock this Upgrade, several Dragon Keys will be added to your total to help you unlock the next dragon egg.

  • You can earn 1 free Dragon Keys PER DAY by watching a sponsored video. Tap the “Watch a Video” option in the Options Menu in the upper right hand of the game. You may not get the free Dragon Key on the first viewing so keep watching. (Watching videos will also earn you free gems for the dragon that you are currently playing!)

  • You may purchase a pack of Dragon keys using the “Buy Dragon Keys” button in the Options menu found in the upper right corner of the game.

  • Doomsday -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/4/2015 19:43:47)

    Yeah I recommend not purchasing the Dragon Key upgrades for the offline skill, it isn't worth it, just keep the app in the background if you have nothing else on. The Founder Package should be more than enough along with the Dragon Keys from the other dragons to unlock everything.

    The Hollow Soul -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/6/2015 12:08:52)

    So after doing some playing around with the game I now have every dragon as an adult(until the update that is). While doing this I sort of noticed a trend for the dragons.

    Easy
    If their reward is 10 DKs they are easier to get gems from. They offer more ways to collect gems and the gem amounts you get per perk is a little higher.

    Medium
    If it's 15 DKs, you receive less options to get gems from (not by a huge amount) and the gem costs are a little higher per upgrade.

    Hard
    Dagron/20 DKs, he has fewer options to get gems from, the cost of the perks are high, and the amount of gems you get from each upgrade is lower than any other dragon.

    Keys Rewarded
    Easy
    Drakenor = 10
    Ichorus = 10
    Akriloth= 10
    Krenos= 10
    Tyrath= 10
    Glacius= 10
    Xergon= 10
    Rivensylth= 10

    Medium
    Trigoras= 15
    Fluffy= 15
    Terrorbyte= 15

    Hard
    Dagron=20

    Prices to unlock them
    Easy
    Drakenor = Free
    Ichorus = 10
    Akriloth= 10
    Krenos= 20
    Tyrath= 20
    Glacius= 20
    Xergon= 20
    Rivensylth= 20

    Medium
    Trigoras= 30
    Fluffy= 30
    Terrorbyte= 30

    Hard
    Dagron=60

    ---

    It would be best that if you do want to unlock every dragon without a huge amount of time waiting on get 1 key per day to get some form of DK package(Which they do need to make money, so I don't have a problem with it really.)

    After getting all the reward DKs you'll still need a 125 to make up the total 270 it takes to unlock every dragon.

    Dread97 -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/7/2015 20:32:29)

    How does one unlock the story for Ichorus? I have unlocked the last upgrade and bought it 15X, but there are no story pop-ups like the other dragons? Is this a bug?

    DragonUltraMaster -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/8/2015 8:24:10)

    for whatever reason, my game just refuses to start up now. I stays at the very first loading screen just keeps on loading. I don't know if anything is even happening. Began to act like this about 2 days ago.

    ugauga -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/8/2015 15:16:09)

    I'm worried. The root system of my tablet is blocked, cutting off all backup settings and achievements . If my tablet be damaged, or if I have to reinstall AQD, I will lose everything. Based on this problem , I'd like suggest an option that allows saving the achievements in the player device, an Artix server or even both. Can you imagine that in a moment you have all dragons, many dragon keys and trillions of gold per second... and all be lost in the next moment?[&o]

    LambO -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/8/2015 18:54:19)

    @Sora, is that quote for the gems per sec being lowered or a totally different thing?

    I used to gain, I think, around 300 billion gems a sec now, I only gain around 24 billion.

    The Hollow Soul -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 0:58:07)

    @LambO, Cysero has spoken about how they're trying to raise the difficulty of the game, I'm unsure if this is why you're experiencing lesser gems. But that could be why.

    Best bet you should contact player support to make sure it isn't a bug or something [:)]

    Arthur -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 1:22:46)

    There's been an update.

    According to this new update, if you've faced the problem where you logged in after the previous update and found all your progress reset to 0, this new update brings a Restore Progress option which will restore your progress that was lost on account of the previous update.. Do NOT use that button unless you're absolutely sure that you want to.

    Restoring may take a few minutes. Please have patience.

    Secondly, you'll only get back the exact amount of gems that were there before the progress loss. You won't get any additional gems.

    Digital X -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 8:17:17)

    Ok few questions. I am still on the first Dragon, amassed over 300 billion and plenty of upgrades so far. I have completed the yellow line at the bottom multiple times for extra gems and still no Dragon has evolved. What upgrade do I need to evolve it? Is it always the very bottom, most expensive upgrade? I am stumped. Cheers.

    The Hollow Soul -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 8:36:28)

    @Digital X, Have you been able to get any gem upgrades that talk about story for your dragon or the seen the Dragon Key reward?

    For the Green Dragon(and every dragon), there should be two options through their evolving span.

    The first is the hatching of the egg(10 million for every dragon but Green) which you've probably already did for Green since it is required to even move the game forward.

    The second time you can evolve a dragon is from baby dragon to adult dragon. The option "Evolve!" for 5 million will appear at the bottom of the gem upgrade list. After clicking this you will receive a bunch of new abilities to buy gems.

    Once you have evolved your dragon into an adult there are no more evolving stages. It instead moves to unlocking "story" upgrades and the Dragon Key reward.

    If you're still a baby dragon and unable to get the "evolve!" upgrade on the upgrade list, you should report it to the bug team as that sounds like a massive bug for the game. [:)]

    Digital X -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 8:41:02)

    I've seen one upgrade mentioning princesses, it's in the trillion region I believe. Would that help?

    The Hollow Soul -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 8:54:29)

    If you have any updates involving princesses then your dragon is in the adult stage. There won't be any more art updates (evolving) for him. Each dragon only has the evolving stage of:
    Egg > baby > adult

    Once you upgrade him to adult you unlock more skills to buy gems with. Hunting should be your last skill if you're still a baby dragon. If you have skills after hunting than you're an adult dragon.

    Has your art updated at all from the baby green dragon to an adult?

    Digital X -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 12:22:16)

    Looks like an adult. two horns in the middle, two longer horns on the outside, fully grown?

    The Hollow Soul -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 12:27:29)

    Then your dragon is fully upgraded when it comes to being evolved. Now you need to just farm gems to unlock the 10 Dragon Keys, story stuff, and pick your next dragon you want to play with, but your green dragon won't have any more evolving options. [:)]

    Digital X -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 12:40:59)

    Cheers matey. Ok 1 trillion for 10 keys. 750,000 billion for the drakenors story. 750,000 billion? What is that in 000,000 etc?

    Arthur -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 12:57:28)

    That should be 750,000,000,000,000.

    Digital X -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 14:07:23)

    Crikey, thanks Arthur. I have a long way to go.

    Flamehead 12 -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/9/2015 16:35:13)

    ugauga -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/10/2015 15:07:35)

    About 30 minutes ago, I tried send it to AQDragons Help
    After wait for about one minute, I tried sent again (thinking that it wasn't sent). Few seconds after I received the (shocking) message "Get out of here spam bot". I'm not and I never was a spam bot[:o]. My only guilty is have the worst internet connect of the universe. Can you imagine click in a submit button and wait for (at least) one minute to (maybe) see the confirmation that your message was sent? Well, how aqdragons site marked me as a spammer, I'm writing here asking to correct all these was a huge mistake.

    Some times, "spammers" are nothing more than players-with-bad-internet (like me), that clicked more than once to confirm that the message was sent. Anyway, these are the repport that I still don't know if was sent.

    1) 1st Dragon is Drakenor, 2nd is Akriloth and 3rd is Ichorus. Needs Akriloth be bought to allow players can buy Ichorus? Or players can buy dragons without follow the sequence in that they appear in game?

    2) How many times per day players can see a sponsored video? Many times I clicked only once and then, when I clicked again, I saw this message: "No ads available at this time. Please try again later". How many time this "later" means?

    3) About "10% Chance to get a Free Key (limit 1 per day)". Is it means 1 click per day? Or click until get a Dragon Key?

    4) I had upgraded Drakenor's "Train Dragon" until level 152, but upgrades go only to 150. What's the maximum number that a skill can be upgraded? And are there rewards upgrading skills beyond level 150?

    5) When I saw Drakenor's upgrades, I perceived two strange things:
    Time since started: -43 sec
    Current Session: -59 min
    What these negative numbers means? Bug, or something that I don't understand?

    6) Aren't there a game crash possibility when players begin have and/or gain a so insane fortune that even have a name? For example:
    ADQV Dragons can support some lovely-maniac players which gain 1.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 of gold (total or per second)? I saw a sceenshot when I saw a gain of more than 1 trillion per second! I put this number because I don't make sure if the correct name is decillion.

    7) Why have zillions of gold if they can't be spent?

    I guess didn't wrote nothing that make this message be deleted.

    Arthur -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/10/2015 16:15:54)

    Hey ugauga,

    Allow me to try and answer your queries to the best of my knowledge.

    1. Players who don't buy keys by paying money have no other choice but to unlock the Dragons in the sequence that they've been placed. If, however you do purchase Dragon Keys, then you can unlock Dragons in any sequence.

    2.
    quote:

    You can earn 1 free Dragon Keys PER DAY by watching a sponsored video. Tap the “Watch a Video” option in the Options Menu in the upper right hand of the game. You may not get the free Dragon Key on the first viewing so keep watching. (Watching videos will also earn you free gems for the dragon that you are currently playing!)

    If you are getting such a notice where ads were not available, do try again after 15-30 minutes.

    3. It means click until you get a Dragon Key. Once you get a Dragon Key, that's it for the day.

    4. The staff is yet to clarify this part but I am pretty sure another player can very well answer this question.

    5. That's a bug you're facing. I just checked and I don't have that negative sign. Do report it at the Bug Tracker(http://www.artix.com/tracker/category?appID=13)
    6. I am pretty sure the Staff designed the game to handle numbers THAT high should a player even reach them.^^

    7. Well, I guess most players just gain gems with an aim to complete that Dragon's growth and move to the next dragon. After that, the gems just keep collecting on the previous dragon. The thing is to collect as many gems as you can. So reaching the zillions of gems is an objective, not spending them. It's something one will feel proud of. Spending gems is not the goal, it's how you get to that objective. Well that's just my interpretation of your question. :)

    I hope my answers help.

    @Arthur

    I had watched many video sponsors on last days, and always reaching the limite views without gain any DK. Also I'm afraid to write to aqdragons again and be considered a true spammer (as I said before). Now I'll write only here. Thanks a lot for your attention arthur![:D]

    The Hollow Soul -> RE: =AQD= AdventureQuest Dragons Discussion Thread (1/10/2015 17:43:35)

    There is no set order for unlocking dragons(Like Arthur said). But, Akriloth and Ichorus are good choices to go for next as they cost the least amount to unlock and won't require you to have to farm for keys by watching ads. You just have to complete the 1 trillion dragon key unlock for Drakenor to continue on to the next dragon. But if you want to play Ichorus before Akriloth (Which is what I did) nothing will break [:D]

    If you would like a break down of price of each dragon and how much you get for your 1 trillion gem reward from each dragon, just go up a few posts to find my long post about it!

    quote:

    4) I had upgraded Drakenor's "Train Dragon" until level 152, but upgrades go only to 150. What's the maximum number that a skill can be upgraded? And are there rewards upgrading skills beyond level 150?

    I haven't reached a cap on any skills yet, I have a skill at 220 times that I bought it, but 150 has so far been the highest number for getting upgrades to total gem amounts for that skill. After 150 it's just buying a "completed upgrades" skill.

    quote:

    7) Why have zillions of gold if they can't be spent?

    Some of the upgrades for collecting story elements for the dragons are quite expensive. Getting trillions of gems per second may seem like a lot, but some of the upgrades go into the quadrillions to be unlocked so high numbers are needed.
    Plus this game is an idle game. Idle games very rarely have an "end game." You just play until you wish to stop, this is why they allow you to collect a lot of gems. Some people just like to see how high a total amount they can get before they get bored and move on.
