Actually i think it should be cheaper since whenever I had the core on i only got small bombs.
If that was not bad luck and the cores are meant to be like that than even 1.5k isnt worth it. Since the large bombs you get without the core more than make up for not getting a bomb every turn.
Furthermore, you cant compare buying bombs to buying the core. This is because when you buy tge bombs you get them instantly whereas when you buy the core you still have to win pvp fights for the bombs. And as i said above the commander core only seems to give small bombs where as with varium you buy the super bombs. You have not considered these factors in your suggestion.
Therefore i am sorry but no support.
