ED Divine Darkness -> The infernal android (12/23/2014 14:39:13)
hello guys. I have recently re-bought the infernal android and something has come to my notice- its special seems quite underwhelming. the description is that it deals 85% base damage, 5% more for each turn(up to 130% damage). 130% of 150 is 195- its normal is 40 less than the many new bots we have today, and it's special is only 5 more than new bots' normal attack. imo this bot needs some serious re-balancing.
EDIT: sorry, trans pointed out where i was wrong! :D

considering that the bots you are talking about cost a lot of varium, while the android costs 25k ( one of the lowest), and still could deal more than them. I think its pretty balanced.

costing varium does not mean it should be blatantly stronger, this is exactly what omega's goal was- balance between varium and non varium. just because it is cheap, does not mean it should be that much weaker than a varium robot. varium doesn't mean it should be stronger. of course varium should have new but not imbalanced perks, but not to this extent.

The price argument doesn't work here, actually. This is because Infernal Android was a war reward, and had to be fought for - quite literally - hence the discounted price, compared to other Bots.
Also, with the damage increase - it's not 5% increase per turn off the base damage (150), but 5% of your total Robot damage, including Tech and Focus bonus.

On high-tech focus builds, especially with legendary ranks, a 130%-boosted IA can hit ridiculously hard. In and of itself, once the later turns of the fight comes, you can force people to be using field medics when they're at 450+ HP just because this bot hits like a truck in the lategame.
