As a graphic designer I can say, that logo is most important thing for business. You'd have awesome advertisement with a new logo, and epicduel will look more professional -> more people. This logo is old and bad to be honest. Logo should not have any gloss, convex edges etc. Logo has to be as simple as possible. I'd create some designs for you if you want. Just reply here. Thanks for read!
BTW: I'll do it for free, not because I want money...

So let me guess this straight, you want to turn the current logo, with a nice effect over the letters, scratches etc in a way that would bring people into the game and entice them, to a bland logo? That's going to look more professional for a kids game right? And attract more people?

Well you see, this game wasn't actually originally a kids game. From what i heard, before the AE merge the majority of the Epicduel community were in fact adults. He's offering to do it for free, i say they let him do a redesign and if they don't like it then fair enough, but if he's offering to do it just for the thought of making Epicduel more appealing then heck i say why not. I'd for one would love to see a more adult like design for Epicduel as many adults also do gaming. Lets face it no matter what age you are, if something looks better then it will attract people from all ages, and to be honest if this was a good remake of the logo and it did for some odd reason stop some kids from joining the community, i'd actually be grateful for that.

If you think that this is a kid game, why u are playing it? You are kid too then, digital x...
Just think about so many varium players.. do u think that these varium players are just kids with rich dumb parents? I don't think so...
Logo shouldn't have any scratches, or your "nice effects over the letters".. that's a bad idea.
I'll post here some logo designs within few minutes and it's on epicduel creator's decision. I don't want anything for it.. I'd just like to see that awesome game could have a professional logo as well... I'm not saying that graphics ingame are bad.. i think that these graphics are awesome, detailed and a great job, but logo is really important. Learn something about logo..

The little tab mark came from a player suggestion so why not see what you have to show. Worst comes to pass you will still get some kind of art critique and who can afford to stop learning

For those who didn't catch the ever so subtle change he adjusted the kerning so it is similar to the current logo. He also changed the stroke thickness to get the bold black outline. Also I make a point of saying free for personal use font because they can't be used for commercial use.

Additional note from Charfade: Work on your typography designs to come up with a new logo instead of using existing typefaces.

Actually I had this font already in photoshop for a long time, but yes true, this is mech tech font. Let me make a little change.

And yes, this logo is very similar to the current one, cause I didn't mean to change whole style of logo, just to change current stylish details that are pointless. Point of my logo was to make a simpler version of current logo.

EDIT: Alright. Here we go. There are 2 logos with a very little difference.

The most important thing for business is the business model. Alot companies have bad logos
and still are very successfull. However EpicDuel is not a company so the minimalistic company
logos may have to be seen differently there.

There is no remark telling that it cannot be bought. Im pretty sure that the rights for this font can be bought.

I really like the very first logo you posted. Could you maybe, work a bit more with that...?

The two latest ones don't exactly go well with the theme of "EpicDuel", in my opinion.

Also, nice to see that there's other Design comrades out there.^^

I'm all for the modern design of logos being flat and simple, but in my opinion, games like EpicDuel shouldn't be following those design principles. I agree with you that the logo that is currently in use in-game is a bit dated, but I really like the newer version that can be seen on the homepage and on various promotional graphics, and I would love to see that replace the old logo.

So if you would like you logo to be considered as a viable replacement, you should not be looking at the fonts that others have created and you should be designing your own typeface that can be used for the logo.

I don't think that it matters if it's mine or free font...There's no such a difference if I like this one, it's way easiest to use this that fits for me than doing maybe exactly the same by my own with a minimal changes on font...
I respect your opinion, but there's no such a difference in logo category. If it's a logo for game, restaurant or application, logos rules should be observed.
