The berserker killer -> Bring back animation and in battle cheevos (1/5/2015 15:25:47)

We all remember the epic symbols/animation that used to happen to your player when a buff or nerf happened. Sparks flew when you were malfed, smoke when you were Smoked, the green electricity when a mage uses Defense Matrix, etc. I think it would be great to bring that back.

Hopefully we all remember when you were able to see another players cheevos when you were in battle, which gave us something to do when it wasn't our turn. I suggest bringing that back too

Battle cheevo's being able to be seen in battle I 100% support seeing as that is one of my main reasons for playing this game.

However, bringing back the old battle animations of buffs and debuffs, to be honest is kind of pointless. Especially sense they have the passive bar that shows each and every status effect unlike when they used to have the old battle animations from before.

Ohh the animations were only to see what was active or not?

Yes, and you could also just check enemy build just to see if some buff was being in use.
And Cheevos in battle=Supported.

And What about the Old Daggers Strike Animations?

Rage: The 2 swipes are the only daggers animations, I meant the 1 hit one.

Yeah, IIRC they said in omega there would be a big animation improvement. So, where is it?

^ Yeah, they have improved a decent amount of skill animations, but I was hoping of more of a weapon-using-animation overhaul.

Rage: I just did 50 strikes with daggers and i only got the 2 hit animation, not sure if only a few daggers can do it then?

Maybe it got the same case as Lawman's mission chain : chances became lower to occur . I dunno but I manage to get the one strike animation on Static Charge a bunch of times , so prolly at some skills it works .

^Yes , that one . But basing on their activities , the number of ninja updates/fixes increased compared to other phases , so you might be right about the Devs removing it.

One of the main reasons for the removal of the animations and the ability to see achievements during battle was to prevent lag. The animation does not cause too much lag, however telling the game to load extra things will always cause it to do so at least a little. With the fact that there are now symbols to reflect a lot of these buffs and nerfs etc. having some of the animations in is simply an extra drain on resources - with the amount of people who complain about and experience lag anyway (for whatever reason), it is best try and limit it on the games end as much as possible! I do understand wanting a variety of animation though, and I cannot comment right now on what may come in the future, because I simply do not know. However there is always the possibility of improvements being made if time is available for the developers to do so!

As for Achievements, this does cause a lot of lag since it creates a big spike of trying to load a lot of stuff at once. This can cause lag not only to the player loading the screen, but to other players in the battle, which, when in battle, is frustrating! Again, I can understand why this feature is liked and why some want it back into the game... However I feel when you have 15 seconds per turn and for the most part it is best to keep watching battles so you do not miss anything; it makes it so adding it back in simply causes lag and people to miss turns, I know that this did happen before quite a lot! Just my opinion on it though, since I can see the other side of the argument too, it is nice to see achievements or at least have the option too!
