this is a old suggest, but with the new balances like primary, secondary and aux damage reduction, rage new scale, the fact that now is almost impossible someone be KOed with 1 hit and others factor (like everyone can keep healing, using shields etc in the attacked guy), maybe the 3v3 now is viable. i think that it doesnot requires alot of exclusive balance because everybody who dislike still can go 1v1 and 2v2.

for the player who will say: "not suported due the delay searching players, people quiting during the match etc.."

if someone decide to a tatoo, the pain not will be a reason to don't do it. then, why if someone decide go 3v3 why they will care about the problems?

3v3 won't be happening. Lag is also another issue associated with it. As well as low playerbase - why spend time developing something for a long period of time, if it may not be beneficial to the players and game alike? Balance and lag are the primary reasons. Secondary are low playerbase, and whether it's time/cost effective - for example, would you rather spend time developing something that may bring many benefits to the game and players alike (e.g. Gifting), or something that only minority will benefit from (e.g. 3v3)? Not mentioning spending even more time balancing all the modes.

lag is not usually big problem to solve in turn based games (also there is the low performance option), balance is only needed for multiple target skills, developer it seem like only reduce the characters size and add a third slot (aparently don't requires a new engine etc..) and maybe it increase the player base due the players backing to play only at this mode.

Server lag cannot be resolved with low performance option - you're thinking of client lag, which is not the same as server lag (since it's your PC being at fault then). Adding new mode isn't as simple as copy-paste code and change number of players from 4 -> 6, and balance isn't as easy either - it's not about balancing skills, but the mode itself; in the same way as Juggernaut is imbalanced, as well as First Strike and all.

It won't be happening.

Trans has explained why 3vs3 battles will not be implemented. This has been tested before and while a lot has changed in terms of balance, the issues of lag are still present and now that there is a smaller player base than before, causing problems with how long it would take to actually find a battle.

Additionally, it is not feasible to invest a significant amount of time to code a 3vs3 battle mode, test it out only to find it is not viable, resulting in a lot of time wasted.

Since this will not be implemented, locking up.
