There ought to be a way to turn fames off, so you aren't spammed by fames and people demanding returns for them whenever you enter a crowded room.
It is also annoying when combat starts, and you are trying to spend the brief seconds before battle reading peoples' stats, and the 'you've been famed' window pops up and blocks your view. Yeah, it only takes a second to close it, but how many seconds to spare do you have? I would say that people are using the fame system as a tactical ploy, if it wasn't that my own partners do it as often as opponents. XD
